𝓜𝓪𝔂 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 marked the 𝟱𝟵𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 of ꜱᴛ. ᴘᴀᴜʟ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴀᴘᴏꜱᴛʟᴇ ᴘᴀʀɪꜱʜ, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur. It was a grace-filled and meaningful celebration attended by the faithful from different Zones/ Chapels, GSK Units, Mandated Organizations, and representatives from the LGU.

This year’s theme was: “𝙱𝚒𝚛𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚜𝚊 𝙵𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚊: 𝙺𝚊𝚑𝚊𝚢𝚊𝚐 𝚜𝚊 𝙼𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚍𝚊𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚘𝚗 𝚗𝚐𝚊 𝙿𝚊𝚗𝚊𝚠 𝚜𝚊 𝚂𝚒𝚖𝚋𝚊𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚗𝚐𝚊 𝙱𝚞𝚑𝚒 𝚜𝚊 𝙿𝚊𝚐𝚝𝚘𝚘.”

The celebration began with the Holy Rosary, followed by the procession of the statues of St. Paul and Our Lady of Fatima around Barangay Poblacion. After the procession, the Holy Mass was solemnly presided over by 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑭𝒓. 𝑳𝒆𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑨. 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒐𝒆𝒍, 𝑺𝑻𝑳

After the Mass, a simple yet joyful program followed, together with lunch. The celebration continued in the afternoon with more activities.

We were deeply thankful to all the working committees, with special recognition given to the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), Office Staff and Convent Personnel, and the Kitchen Staff who prepared meals from the first day of the Triduum Mass until the day of the event. We also thanked Saint Andrew’s Academy (SAA) for preparing the mini-gym venue.

We also extended our gratitude to the families who generously provided financial support, as well as to all Chapels/ Zones, GSK Units, and Mandated Organizations for their active participation. A special thank you was given to Mr. Joel Ybañez for his exceptional service as Master of Ceremonies, and to Mr. Ramir Becoy for preparing the program.

Our deepest gratitude went to our Parish Priest, 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑭𝒓. 𝑳𝒆𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑨. 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒐𝒆𝒍, 𝑺𝑻𝑳, whose tireless dedication, unwavering support, and hard work were instrumental in making the special celebration a success.

The St. Paul, the Apostle Parish, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur successfully conducted Catechetical Ongoing Formation from April 17–19, 2026. This activity was organized to prepare and equip catechists in teaching the children in their respective chapels and in the schools under their pastoral care.

Today, April 19, 2026, during the second Mass, the catechists were formally sent off by Rev. Fr. Leslie A. Bataoel, STL. Strengthened by their formation, they are now ready to carry out their mission of sharing the faith and guiding the young in their Christian journey.

𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 5, 2026| 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆

The faithful of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur, joyfully gathered to witness the cherished tradition of the 𝑺𝑼𝑮𝑨𝑻, a meaningful encounter between the Risen Christ and His Blessed Mother. This beloved Filipino devotion beautifully symbolizes the reunion that transforms sorrow into hope through the Resurrection.

As the veil was lifted, the Blessed Virgin Mary was revealed, marking the end of grief and the beginning of joy. The community rejoiced as the Risen Lord met His Mother, and the air was filled with songs of “Alleluia,” proclaiming Christ’s victory over sin and death.

The celebration continued with the Holy Mass, presided over by 𝑹𝑬𝑽. 𝑭𝑹. 𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑳𝑰𝑬 𝑨. 𝑩𝑨𝑻𝑨𝑶𝑬𝑳, 𝑺𝑻𝑳.

𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒚 𝑺𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚: 𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑽𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒍

In the stillness of the night, the faithful of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur, gathered to take part in the Easter Vigil, a sacred celebration marking the triumph of light over darkness. The blessing of the new fire and the lighting of the Paschal Candle signified Christ as the Light of the World, dispelling the darkness of sin and death.

Through the Liturgy of the Word, the community reflected on God’s enduring love and His plan of salvation revealed throughout time. The joyful proclamation of the Resurrection filled the hearts of the faithful with renewed hope, as they rejoiced in the victory of the Risen Lord.

The celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Leslie A. Bataoel, STL, who led the faithful in this solemn and meaningful liturgy. United in faith, the community proclaimed with great joy: Alleluia! Christ is risen!

𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲| 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬

The faithful of St. Paul the Apostle Parish came together in a moving display of faith for the Veneration of the Cross and the Procession of the Santo Entierro and Sorrowful Mother. This sacred tradition honors the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the profound grief of Mary, His mother, as they walk alongside the devotees in remembrance of His sacrifice.

During the Veneration of the Cross, believers knelt to kiss or touch the wooden cross, a tangible symbol of Christ’s love and redemption. The procession that followed filled the streets with reverence, as the statues of the Santo Entierro (bearing the body of Christ) and the Sorrowful Mother (cloaked in black, her face etched with sorrow) were processioned.

This meaningful event was a testament to the community’s deep commitment to honoring the Passion of Christ during Holy Week. It served as a powerful reminder of the cost of salvation and the enduring hope found in faith.
