● Day 9 / 21

• WEIGHT NOT WORTH
( Weight increases in fasting )

Roman's 12:1 (NIV)
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."

1 Timothy 4:8
“For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.."

Guide Questions:
• If regular fasting is beneficial for the body how much more beneficial is Bibical Fasting?
• In your experience, how has fasting helped you in serving the Lord in the ministry?

•• Our body is the means we use to accomplish God's will here on this earth. It is God's temple.

••Even though Physical activity is not as beneficial as exercising godliness, but through proper eating, sleep & exercise we show we really care about God's temple.

• WORTH vs. WEIGHT ...

~Fasting does not improve our spiritual WORTH (value) but, it increases our Spiritual WEIGHT (influence, importance & burden).
~ Our worth / value in God's eyes is fixed by the price His Son paid on the cross at Calvary -It's unchanging.
~We PRESENT our bodies in RESPONSE to the LOVE and mercy of God to us.
~One way we can present our bodies to God is through fasting, thus, making our weight increase.
~The order should be: PRESENT our bodies as a sacrifice, RENEW our minds, and be TRANSFORMED.

• Sacrificial living, which includes fasting, is a response to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for us.

• PRAYER GUIDE:
°Remember the cross of Jesus Christ and worship Him for what He did on the cross for you.
°Honor the love of Jesus Christ that motivated Him to complete His work on the Cross.
°Ask God's help for you to "die to yourself" esp. this prayer & fasting season, so you may live through His Son.
°Ask God that through this act of sacrifice (fasting) God's love will flow out in you in greater measure, so others will come to know Jesus.
° Continue to pray as the Spirit leads...

• FASTING TIPS
After the first few days, when the hunger disappears, you may begin to notice that you feel more energetic. Perhaps you feel like going for a jog or hitting the gym, but try and refrain from heavy activities at this stage of fast. Instead, stick to a light walk around your neighborhood or water the plants, etc.

● Day 7 / 21

• BOWL FOR BLESSING
(Trading the Physical for the Spiritual)

Genesis 25:34 (ESV)
"Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright."

Hebrews 12:17
"For you know that afterward, when Esau desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.."

Guide Questions:
• Have you tried being tricked or deceived to buy something just because of an urgent need?
• Are you always being deceived by others especially when you have immediate needs?

•• BIRTHRIGHT - guarantee that the eldest son would inherit twice as much as his other male siblings.

••Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. He got tricked by Jacob because he considered his physical needs to be more important than his inheritance.

• The Life of Esau teaches us ...

~Many people will give up their spiritual for their physical needs & wants.
~The soup was tasty and satisfying for the moment but the results have sad, disappointing and bitter ending.
~Esau just needed to fast in order to preserve his inheritance.
~Many believers can't access their Divine Inheritance because they refuse to fast.
~If you want to walk in and enjoy your spiritual inheritance, learn to bridle your physical appetites and tolerate hunger for His sake.

• If you want to LAST, you have to FAST. Fasting might feel painful at first, but it has amazing results. Embrace the lifestyle of consecration. Giving up what is good to receive what is best.

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
°Thank God for helping you understand what He desire to give you through this fast.
°Ask His help that you remain faithful amidst physical hunger, and to finish what you've committed Him.
°Repent for the previous disobedience and for trading the Spiritual for the physical, the godly for the ungodly.
°Receive the blessing that the Lord would release upon your life in this 7th day of Prayer and Abstinence.
° Continue to pray as the Spirit leads...

• FASTING TIPS
Glucose is the primary source of energy for the body. However, when you fast or go into ketosis, glucose becomes limited, and your body must turn to fat stores for the energy it requires. Additionally, getting rid of that extra fat has detoxifying effect on the body.

● Day 6 / 21

• FLYING FIRST CLASS
(Christianity: First class or Economy Experience)

Matthew 16:24 (NASB)
"Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.' "

Galatians 5:24-25
24 "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit."

Guide Questions:
• Have you tried riding a plane in Economy Class? How about First Class? What's the difference?
• What motivates you to continue fasting?

••The difference between first-class seat and economy seat is the PRICE! First class section of the plane paid much more than those in economy, and they are seated nearer the pilot.

• FLYING FIRST CLASS in CHRISTIANITY means...

~You are full of the WORD while others are full of the world.
~You live to discover God while others try to discover themselves.
~You are denying yourself while others are embracing themselves and enjoying life.
~You are paying the higher price (denying self) in order to come closer and nearer to the Pilot-Jesus Christ.

• Disciples establish discipline. One MARK that separates DISCIPLES from Believers is their SELF-DENIAL. The decision to die to oneself, pick up the cross, and follow Jesus. Fasting is one of the many ways to deny ourselves and pick up our cross.

A Believer VS. A Disciple :

A Believer comes to the Cross
A Disciple gets on the cross

A Believer retreats to safety
A Disciple embraces suffering

A Believer comes to Church
A Disciple is a Church

A Believer cheers from the sidelines
A Disciple is in the game

A Believer reads the Word
A Disciple lives the Word.

A Believer is all about believing in Jesus
A Disciple is all about being like Jesus

A Believer is comfort-driven
A Disciple is purpose-driven, making sacrifices.

A Believer talks
A Disciple raises disciples and leads by example.

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
°Humble yourself before God and tell Him that you desire an Intimate relationship with Him.
°Ask God to help you go further where others are unwilling to go and become His true disciple.
°Tell the Holy Spirit that you are willing to surrender everything just to know Him deeper and walk closer with Him no matter the cost.
° Continue to pray as the Spirit leads...

• FASTING TIPS
Physically, there are incredible cleansing and heart health benefits taking place during a fast. As you BMR Lowers, fat in the blood starts to disappear as it is metabolized for energy. This process promotes a healthy heart, and for some, improves cholesterol levels by boosting HDL levels.

● Day 5 / 21

• Comfort Eating
(Food: Source of emotional pleasure)

Leviticus 16:31 (ESV)
"It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall deny / afflict your souls; it is a statute forever."

1 Timothy 4:4
"For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving."

Guide Questions:
• Do you have a healthy relationship with food? or does your craving for food dictate your intake?
• What is the Holy Spirit guiding you to do or surrender today?

••Fasting exposes the unhealthy relationship we have with food. Fasting force you to deal with toxic emotions in a new way, by bringing them to the Holy Spirit instead of finding false comfort in food.

• WHEN FOOD BECOMES THE SOURCE OF EMOTIONAL PLEASURE, bear in mind...

~ Food is a gift from God, but was never given to fix our emotional problems.
~Food was NEVER intended to be your FRIEND but as FUEL for the purpose of living.
~When you comfort yourself with food, instead of coming to God, you can fall into the sin of gluttony.
~ Fasting is afflicting or denying your soul, not your body.
~Fasting afflicts, humbles and weakens your soul's control.

• During Fast, not only will physical toxins be removed, but emotional toxins as well. Allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse you of soul toxins.

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
°Ask for forgiveness for any sin of gluttony or over drinking that you used to numb your emotions.
°Repent for making food an idol by wanting it to comfort you, instead of coming to God.
°Ask the Holy Spirit to help you stop running to other source for relief, and surrender to Him.
° Continue to pray as the Spirit leads...

• FASTING TIPS
Bowel movements and bad breath are two subjects that most people usually avoid discussing, but when fasting, you need to be aware of both. Bad breath will be a concern throughout every stage of a fast. Slightly offensive breath is completely natural and part of detoxifying process.

● Day 4 / 21

• FASTING IS MORE CHALLENGING MENTALLY THAN PHYSICALLY
(worth starting, worth finishing)

Daniel 10:12 (ESV)
12 Then He said to me, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words."

Guide Questions:
• When fasting, what do you usually experience physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually? (write it down)
• What are the common temptations that challenge you into completing the fast you've dedicated to God?

••Fasting is more difficult mentally than physically, in fact, it exposes how weak we are mentally.

• WHEN BEING CHALLENGED DURING FASTING, REMEMBER...

~ the enemy will play MIND GAMES to make you STOP fasting (even when not hungry).
~most of the temptation will happen in your head, not in your belly (although there are physical hardships as well).
~finish what you've started, so, make up your mind to complete your fast before you even begin.
~once you make up your mind to fast, you'll realize how powerful thoughts are.
~resist the devil tempting you, resist him with the Word.

• Make up your mind! Stick with your decision to fast. Add determination to that decision to finish your fast. If it's worth starting, it's worth finishing.

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
°Praise the Lord for the desire He birthed in you to start/continue fasting.
°Seek God's help to remain strong in your decision to die to self through this act of Fasting.
°Ask the Holy Spirit to supply you grace, supernatural strength, and clarity in your mind.
° Continue to pray as the Spirit leads...

• FASTING TIPS
Typically, about day 3-5 on a fast the body understands that there is no food intake and begins to shut down the production of digestive juices in order to conserve energy. At this point, you may no longer experience hunger for some days.

● Day 3 / 21 (1/12/26)

• SPIRIT-LED FAST
(Jesus, led by the Spirit)

Psalm 27:8
My heart has heard You say, “Come and talk with Me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”

Matthew 4:1-2
1 Then Jesus was LED by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.

Guide Questions:
• What do you feel the Holy Spirit is saying to you today regarding life, ministry and Fasting?
• Do you want to start or maybe advance your ministry in 2026?

••Jesus, before He started His Ministry here on earth at the age 30, He was led by the Spirit to do 40 days and 40 nights of Prayer and Fasting in the wilderness.

• BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT means...

~"DEMONS WILL LEAVE"
•could mean strongholds in the mind will break.
•could also mean some things in the ministry that shouldn't be there would be broken.
~"ANGEL'S WILL COME"
•could mean help from God is coming your way
•could also mean divine connections would occur.
~"RETURNING IN POWER"
•means there would be a greater measure of God's power in life and in the ministry.

• Are you excited to see Demons leave, Angels come and to return in power after this season of Prayer and Fasting?

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
- Ask God's help in your dedicated time of Prayer and Fasting/ Abstinence.
- Pray for God the Holy Spirit, to break off every limitation in the mind.
-Allow God to take you as deep and as far as He want, that you will not limit God and let Him do what He wants to do in you.
- Call on God to strengthen you as you learn to follow Him through this fast.

• FASTING TIPS
If you feel occasional hunger, drink a glass of water and rest (if you didn't choose Absolute/ dry fast). You should also replace your usual mealtimes with Scripture reading to help your spirit overcome your flesh in moments of weakness.

● Day 2 / 21 (1/11/26)
• GO FAR TO FIND FIRE
(Moses, Wilderness & the Burning Bush)

Exodus 3:1-2
1 One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock FAR into the WILDERNESS and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.
2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a BLAZING FIRE from the middle of a BUSH. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.
(Read: Exodus 3:1-22)

Guide Questions:
• Do you feel like you are burned out by your service to God?
• Do you feel stuck although you know you have greater destiny?
• Perhaps, you're tired of moving around in circles, yet you know you have a purpose and you're still wasting your life living in passivity?

••Moses was once like that & everything changed when God intervened and called him to go far into the wilderness; beyond the usual and his comfort zone.

• BURNING BUSH is where...

~insecurities are exposed but calling is revealed.
~the power of God was released and you will never be the same.
~the disappointments of failures and setbacks turned into divine appointment & restart.
~burned-out believers find new fire and ablaze for God once more.

• Are you ready to climb over the fence of fears, to go further than normal; to find an encounter, a fire, a burning bush, a call from God and a new empowerment?

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
- Ask God to reveal your FEARS and limitations, so you can decide to break free from them.
- Surrender what prevents you from walking closer with Him.
- Pray that God will show and take you to places beyond the usual, so you can burn for Him and fulfill His greater purposes in your life.

• FASTING TIPS
Day 2 of Fasting is the stage when your body transitions into fasting mode and, for many people, it's the most challenging part of their fast. This stage is where you start to feel the hunger pangs as you skip your regular mealtime routine.

Day 1 of 21 (1/10/26)
• POWER IS NOT IN FASTING

Psalm 62:11-12
Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,
12 and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.

• FASTING -
~doesn't have nor produce power in and of itself.
~might be instrument for God's power to flow but all power is in God.
~ brings you closer to breakthrough and has many benefits
~ doesn't move God; but moves us closer to Him.

• FASTING TIPS
Our body is accustomed to consuming food at regular intervals during the day. As you refrain (abstain) from eating, it is normal to experience dizziness, weakness, headaches, nausea, etc. These symptoms can be common during any long-term fast (3 meals and above).

• PRAYER FOR THE DAY
- Ask God's help and strength to surrender fleshly desires in order to come closer to God.
- Seek God's help to shift focus from MY NEEDS to GOD'S WILL for my life
- Pray that your desires be the same as the desire of the Lord for you in all areas in life. 🙏😇
