Your Excellency, Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas, dear brother priests, religious brothers and sisters, parishioners of the Minor Basilica of St. Dominic, and the beloved community of St. Ildephonse, my dear friends,

Thank you for gathering here today to celebrate my installation as the Parish Priest of St. Ildephonse. I am profoundly grateful to God for this new calling and the opportunity to serve in this vibrant parish. Like my previous assignments at the seminary, St. Michael, and St. Dominic, I approach this moment with a mixture of fear, excitement, and uncertainty about what lies ahead. Yet, I am comforted by the knowledge that I can rely on God’s will to guide me.

When I received the call from our esteemed Archbishop, I pondered one question: What is God’s will for me here at St. Ildephonse? While the answers may not yet be clear, I am confident that this journey will be an adventure rooted in faith, hope, and love.

To the parish of the Minor Basilica of St. Dominic, I want to assure you that I remain a devoted son of St. Dominic. My time there will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will forever be grateful to the Archbishop for that cherished assignment.

To the parish community of St. Ildephonse, let us embark on this journey together. We have significant projects ahead, including the reconstruction of our church façade and improvements to the parish office, the old chapel, the candle area, and the parking space. Yet, beyond these physical structures, my mission among you—now my family—is to nurture the People of God. (PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BUILDINGS.) Remember, the Church is not merely a building; it is the people we serve.

Let us deepen our love for the Eucharist and the sacraments, strengthen our devotions to the Blessed Mother, St. Ildephonse, and the Saints. Let us extend our hands to the poor and needy, support our youth and children, and visit the sick and vulnerable. I am here for you, the holy people of God.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has welcomed me so warmly. While we have much work ahead, I believe our efforts will bear fruit when they spring from our love for God and His holy Church. May St. Ildephonse, St. Dominic, St. Padre Pio, and most of all, Our Lady of Manaoag guide us and bless our endeavors.

Thank you.
