The Center of Sin and Pride is ‘I’

Kapag ang “I” o “AKO” ang napunta sa center ng buhay natin, doon nagsisimulang lumago ang sin at pride. Hindi naman masama ang magkaroon ng “I” may identity tayo, may dreams, may needs, at may personal decisions. Ang problema ay kapag ang “AKO” na ang nagiging sentro at hindi na ang Diyos.

1. SIN says: “I want what I want.”Ang sin ay nagsisimula kapag inuuna natin ang sariling desire kaysa sa will ng Diyos.Parang sinasabi natin:“Gusto ko ito, kaya gagawin ko.”“Desisyon ko ito.”“Wala akong pakialam kung ano ang sinabi ng Diyos.

2. PRIDE says: “I know better.”Ang pride naman ay kapag iniisip natin na mas alam natin kaysa sa Diyos.Sinasabi ng pride:
“Kaya ko ito.”
“Hindi ko kailangan ng tulong.”
“Ako ang tama.”
“Mas magaling ako.”
“Hindi ko kailangang makinig.”
Kaya ang pride ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagmamataas. It is putting yourself in a position that belongs to God.m

“Sin makes ‘I’ the center. Pride makes ‘I’ the throne. But surrender puts Christ back at the center.”The question is not, “Is there an ‘I’ in my life?”The question is, “Is ‘I’ on the throne or is Christ?”

Proverbs 16:18 — “Pride goes before
destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
