Senior pastor of Doulos for Christ and G12 Philippines national coordinator Bishop Oriel Ballano conducted a one-day training and equipping about the new way of discipleship that God has revealed to him. This is the PID to ILD or Personal Intentional Discipleship to Intentional Leadership Development. The training took place on June 2 at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.
Bishop Oriel showed his concern about what is happening to our nation -- leadership shortage, especially in churches. He emphasized that not every disciple is a leader, but every leader must first be a disciple. Intentional discipleship enables a church to grow, but it is intentional leadership that will build and sustain it.
He also shared different ways to address this current problem and raise strong leaders that will help solve leadership shortage. All throughout the training, Ps. Geraldine Ballano and other primary leaders of Doulos For Christ gave points regarding the transition from PID to ILD, and being a leader that contributes to the solution to leadership shortage.
Bishop Oriel also announced that Bs. Frank Santos of Tarlac First Baptist Church stepped down as a G12 national leader, as he wants to focus on his church while still working in the G12 movement. Ps. Junel Liwanag, senior pastor of Citi Sanctuary and El Shalom Church, is the newly promoted G12 national leader. Bs. Oriel prayed for Bs Frank and their church as they work on the new beginning that they are about to do, as well as anointing and guidance for Ps. Junel and his wife as the new part of the national twelve.
