INSIGHT: Small Battles Building a Bigger Faith

Rev. Fr. Ronaldo "Boyet" C. Pedroso

The small and private struggles we overcome today can become the proofs that give us faith for the bigger things we will face tomorrow. Perhaps, that is what our current struggle is doing in us.

That prayer we are praying when nobody knows. That temptation we are learning to overcome. The discipline we are building quietly, or the times when we are choosing our God even when no one is watching. Those little victories matter because the faith we build in private becomes the faith we will carry into bigger things.

Let us not ignore or despise the small battles. We may think nothing is happening, but He is preparing us for something bigger. The private battles we win today can become the testimony that gives us faith for the bigger things we will face tomorrow.

Let us keep fighting, praying, and trusting. Maybe the big things are ahead of us, but so is our God, who has already been faithful behind us, preparing us to succeed in our future endeavors.

PRAYER:

Loving Father, I know You have big things in store for me. Help me to be patient in the waiting, to trust Your perfect timing, and to rest in the assurance that Your plans are good. Teach me to walk by faith and be strengthened by Your grace to overcome the challenges and difficulties as a way of preparing me to do bigger and greater things for Your glory. Be with me always. Amen. God bless!

INSIGHT: God Is Our Strength and Refuge

Rev. Fr. Ronaldo "Boyet" C. Pedroso

Mark 6:17-29—We worry too much about what others might do, say, or plan against us. Sometimes we spend so much energy defending and explaining ourselves and worrying about other people's intentions. Worrying about people's opinions or threats can trap us in anxiety, compromise, and poor decisions.

We must remember that there will be people who will misunderstand us. There will be things that we cannot control and other people’s motives that we will never know, but we do not have to live in fear of all of them. What we need is to faithfully embrace and live a life worthy in the eyes of our God, and we will be blessed.

Trusting Him frees us from the trap of fearing people, giving us peace and security that human approval can never provide. While fear of others leads to anxiety and compromise, faith in our God anchors us in safety and confidence because He will be our strength, defender, and security.

However, this does not mean that nothing difficult will ever happen to us, but that whatever comes against us, we know that we do not have to face it alone. So, let us stop obsessing over who is against us and focus on our loving God, who is always there for us.

May we trust Him with the battles we cannot fight, the words we cannot answer, and the situations and circumstances that we cannot control. Let us rest assured that when He is our strength and refuge, we do not have to be afraid of every storm around us. In Him, we are assured and secured.

PRAYER:

Loving Father, Your safety is deeper than any physical protection because it is the assurance of Your presence and care. I choose to trust You over the opinions of others. Help me to stand firm in integrity, even if it costs me fame, fortune, and opportunity, knowing that with You, I am assured and secure. Bless me with Your wisdom and strength to guide me in my daily affairs. Be with me always. Amen. God bless!

INSIGHT: Learning to Be Wiser but Softer Through Life’s Lessons

Rev. Fr. Ronaldo "Boyet" C. Pedroso

It is good to remember that life changes us in ways we never expect. Through pain, through loss, through moments and circumstances that we never wanted to face, we little by little become someone new.

Perhaps the healing is not about becoming harder but softer, without forgetting what we have been through. We become more patient, understanding, and grateful for the little things we once overlooked. Some losses leave an emptiness behind, but they can also teach us to cherish what remains.

When we face times of difficulty, let us remember that our tears are not signs of defeat but investments in our God's future joy. May we trust that He is cultivating something beautiful beneath the surface. May we keep moving forward, carrying the memories without letting the pain take away our ability to love and appreciate life, because even after loss, there are still quiet blessings worth holding on to.

PRAYER:

Loving Father, thank You that my tears are not wasted. Help me to trust You in times of crisis, difficulties, and sorrow, believing that joy will come in Your perfect time. May my faith remain steadfast until the harvest of Your promises. Be with me always. Amen. God bless!

INSIGHT: Rest Is an Act of Faith

Rev. Fr. Ronaldo "Boyet" C. Pedroso

Have we ever felt guilty for resting because there is still so much left to do? We live in a world that constantly tells us to keep going, to work harder, to hustle more, to reply to that message, to finish this or that task, or to figure everything out right away.

We are so busy trying to fix everything that we forget that our God is already at work. We do not have to carry every problem or have every answer each day. We do not have to control everything for things to work out. We are allowed to rest.

Rest does not mean we are lazy or that we have given up. Our rest is an act of trust and surrender to God because we do not have control over what is happening around us, but He does. Resting is saying, “We have done what we can, and we entrust the rest to Him.”

Let us then take a deep breath, put down what we cannot control, and entrust to God what we cannot carry, knowing that while we rest, He is still working for our good and the good of all. Let our God handle what we cannot. Let go and let God.

PRAYER:

Loving Father, I acknowledge that my own energy and wisdom are limited. Forgive me for the times I try to carry every burden on my own shoulders. I surrender my weariness to You and ask You to renew my strength. Bless me with Your wisdom and strength to help me overcome challenges, and endurance to continue the tasks that You have entrusted to me. Bless me with Your steady grace to guide my steps daily. Be with me always. Amen. God bless!

INSIGHT: God Is With Us in Every Difficulty

Rev. Fr. Ronaldo "Boyet" C. Pedroso

Our God has a different way of hugging and comforting us. An additional problem or difficulty can be a way for Him to remind us that we are not alone. In those moments, He uses these situations to tell us that we must not be afraid because He is with us.

Even if we do not fully understand everything that is happening now, let us continue to believe that our God has a plan for every season of tiredness, every tear we shed, and every moment of waiting we experience. The time will come when we will understand why we have to go through all of this.

When we do not know what is next, let us stop for a moment and trust because God knows every problem, difficulty, and battle we are going through, and He has a plan that is better than what we are aspiring for.

Let us believe, trust, be firm, and wait.

PRAYER:

Loving Father, I thank You for Your goodness that never changes, Your love that never fails, and Your faithfulness that spans every generation. Help me to trust You each day. Give me Your wisdom and strength to help me in my daily affairs and to share Your truth and unfailing love to others. Be with me always. Amen. God bless!

INSIGHT: God Sustains Us

Rev. Fr. Ronaldo "Boyet" C. Pedroso

Oftentimes, we measure our God's blessings by how much we have, like money, comfort, or security. We often equate blessings with having ‘more than enough.’ However, His faithfulness meets us in a very different place—in the place where there is very little.

We do not have to romanticize hardship to recognize God’s faithfulness in the middle of it because the blessing is not that we suddenly have plenty. The reality is that our God sustains us when we have very little. We do not have much, but somehow, He is still sustaining us.

Having enough is not the same as abundance, but it is still something to be grateful for. It also means that there is still something to receive and to share. Our God's faithfulness is still meeting us, not in abundance or in excess, but in the ordinary provision of another day.

Perhaps, one day, when we look back, we will realize that some of the times we thought were defined by lack were actually moments where we learned the most about God’s faithfulness because He did not always give us more. He simply sustained us with what we had, and somehow, it was enough to keep us going.

So, if we are in a situation of having very little right now, let us not be ashamed to admit that it is hard, but may the little we have never make us blind to God’s presence. His faithfulness does not require abundance but simply meets us in the little we have and gives us enough grace for each day.

PRAYER:

Loving Father, I honor Your name today. Thank You for the wonderful things, like the many unexpected and unseen provisions You have provided for me each day, and the promises You continue to fulfill. Help me to trust Your purpose and timing and to live with a heart full of praise and gratitude. Be with me always. Amen. God bless!
