"And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Lesson:
Matapos ang pagkapagod sa ministeryo at ang tindi ng napakalaking pulutong, ginawang priyoridad ni Jesus ang pag-alis sa isang nag-iisang lugar.
Ang pagpili ng bundok—isang karaniwang simbolo sa Bibliya para sa banal na pagkikita—Siya ay naghangad na muling ihanay at makipag-ugnayan sa Ama.

"Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

Lesson:
* Hinihikayat ni Jesus ang Kanyang mga disipulo (at mga mananampalataya) na pagtagumpayan ang takot, lalo na kapag nahaharap sa kahirapan o pagsalungat para sa kanilang pananampalataya, tulad ng nakikita sa paligid.

Itinatampok ang Kanyang misyon na iligtas ang mga nawawala sa mahigpit na ritwal ng relihiyon, na tinutukoy ang Oseas 6:6.
