CHRISTIANS AND POLITICS
To my fellow enjoyers of Christ, we know that election is closely approaching and many are coming out through the social media the different views of every political party.
Just a reminder, do not let politics divide us. We may have our own view of those candidates according to our taste. But let's not impose our view to others otherwise this will damage the sweetness of our relationship in Christ.
All we need to do is to pray that the Lord will set up the one that will help carry out His eternal purpose here on earth.
Politically, we might have a choice of our own, according to our feeling and how the Spirit leads us. Yes we need to exercise wisdom. As Christians, we confer it to the Lord and not to the public. This is not our job. Let others do it.
According to principle, the church should not be involved in politics. It is true even in our constitution: The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable. (Article II, Section 6). But it doesn't mean we don't care for our government. We as citizens have to exercise our right.
We have to remember that our future is in the hands of the Lord; not in politics. He sets the rulers of the kings of the earth (Dan. 4:25-26). After all, our Lord is the Lord of lords and the King of kings (Rev.17:14).
