A Multicultural Anglican Church that exists to bring Jesus Christ to the peoples of our community, reflecting him in our lives, our worship, our study and our fellowship, working to restore all the unity with God and each other We warmly welcome you to The Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity, located in Forbes Park, Makati City, Metro Manila. We are part of the Central Diocese of the Episcopal Ch

urch in the Philippines and a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Who We Are:
Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is a multicultural Christian community existing to bring Jesus Christ to the peoples of our community, and to reflect Him in our lives, worship, study, and fellowship, working to restore all people to unity with God and with one another. Our History:
The Trinity community has been an active Episcopal congregation since the end of World War II, originally located in Ermita near Manila Bay, and since 1969, in Forbes Park, Makati. As part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the parish continues the work and witness of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines since the early 20th century. One of the most notable leaders of our denomination was Charles Henry Brent (1862–1929), a missionary bishop to the Philippines and an ecumenical visionary. He was instrumental in the establishment of Brent International Schools and St. In 1990, the Episcopal Church in the Philippines became an autonomous province of the Anglican Communion. During that same year, Holy Trinity was elevated to cathedral status, serving the Diocese of the Central Philippines until 2003, after which it returned to being a regular parish. Today, the Episcopal Church in the Philippines has nearly 120,000 members, worshiping in 590 congregations, served by 10 bishops, 242 priests and deacons, and 896 lay workers. Our Parish Today:
Holy Trinity in Makati began primarily as a church serving the expatriate community, and has since grown to include many Filipino members, forming a diverse and welcoming parish family. We are pleased to share that our parish is now led by Fr. Sallidao, the first Filipino Parish Rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. His leadership reflects both our Anglican heritage and our continuing growth as a local Filipino and international faith community. Worship Services
7:30 AM Eucharist – A traditional Prayer Book service, featuring classic hymns, clear biblical teaching, and minimal changes to the liturgy. This service includes a strong presence of our Chinese members, and all are warmly welcome.

9:30 AM Eucharist – A vibrant, multicultural Anglican service with biblical preaching and pastoral care that is personal and respectful. Our worship is enriched by a dedicated choir and organist, offering inspiring and excellent sacred music. Parish Life
Visitors and members often remark on the warmth and respect with which they are welcomed. Children are especially embraced through our Sunday School and participation in worship. The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) actively welcomes new members and supports parish life. Location & Contact

Solemn Evensong for Friday of Easter 7

18/05/2026

The Episcopal Church in the Philippines (ECP) invites you to "Living the Baptismal Covenant: Faith in Action" with The Rev. Vincent Bete, online via Zoom on Wednesday, May 20, 9:00AM-12:00PM (Philippine Standard Time)/Tuesday, May 19, 8:00PM-11:00PM (Central Daylight Time), in preparation for the Renewal of Baptismal Vows on the Day of Pentecost in all ECP congregations on Sunday, May 24. All welcome!

This retreat, a time of renewal, reflection, and recommitment, invites participants to explore the heart of the Baptismal Covenant and what it means to live as a baptized people in the Episcopal tradition. Through Scripture and small-group conversation, we will trace the covenant’s biblical foundations, unpack its promises, and reflect on how we embody it—personally and as church communities in our own contexts. Participants will engage deeply with the Apostles’ Creed, examine each baptismal promise, and consider how “with God’s help” shapes our understanding of grace, failure, and renewal. The retreat culminates in a shared act of recommitment, grounding us again in the life we claim at baptism and the mission we share as a community.

The Rev. Vincent Bete is a priest in The Episcopal Church's Episcopal Diocese of Iowa, currently serving in parish ministry at St. Anne's by the Fields Episcopal Church, Ankeny, IA, as well as being Chaplain to Mill Pond - a PHS senior living community. He previously served in parish ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of North Central Philippines. Fr. Vincent is a graduate of the ECP's Saint Andrew's Theological Seminary.

The CHT–Episcopal Church Women (ECW) joyfully participated in the 53rd ECW–EDCP Diocesan Convention held at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
With the theme: “Magsalita ng may pag-ibig, maglingkod ng may malasakit, manindigan sa katarungan at kapayapaan”
(“Speak in love, serve with compassion, commit to justice and peace”),
the gathering became a meaningful space of grace and renewal.

During the convention, the women were given the opportunity to share in fellowship with fellow ECW members from across the diocese, to worship together as one body in Christ, and to learn from one another’s ministries and experiences. It was a time not only of encouragement but also of deep listening and mutual support.
More importantly, the convention strengthened their commitment to a renewed sense of mission—rooted in love, expressed through compassionate service, and courageously lived out in the pursuit of justice and peace.

Living Hope- beautifully sung by Moira Dela Torre at the Church of the Holy Trinity.

“Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free. Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in Your name—
Jesus Christ, my Living Hope.”

A powerful reminder that the Resurrection is not just a story

The Great Vigil of Easter

The Great Vigil of Easter is the most sacred and beautiful liturgy of the Christian year—the night when we keep watch for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We begin in darkness. Outside or in a dimly lit church, a new fire is kindled, and from it the Paschal Candle is lit. This single flame breaks the darkness, and slowly its light is shared, filling the church—a sign that Christ, the Light of the world, has overcome the darkness of sin and death.
As the candle is carried in, we hear the ancient song of the Church, the Exsultet, proclaiming the victory of God and calling this night “truly blessed.”
We then listen to the great story of salvation through Scripture—how God has been at work from the very beginning: in creation, in deliverance, in promise, and in faithfulness. These readings remind us that Easter is not just a moment, but the fulfillment of God’s saving work through history.
At the heart of the Vigil, we celebrate new life in Christ through Holy Baptism. This year, we joyfully welcomed three new members into the Body of Christ. Through the waters of baptism, they were united with Christ in his death and raised with him to new life. As a community, we also renewed our own baptismal promises, remembering that this resurrection life is given to all of us.
Then, with joy, the Church bursts into song: Alleluia!—a word we have held back throughout Lent—now proclaimed again as we celebrate the risen Lord.
Finally, we gather at the Holy Eucharist, sharing in the life of the risen Christ, who is truly present among us.
The Great Vigil of Easter is not only something we remember—it is something we enter into. From darkness to light, from silence to song, from death to life—this is our story, and this is the night we proclaim it with hope and joy.
