Right now, are you far from God or just pretending you’re not? Have you been running away from home for so long that the distance now feels normal?

What if you’ve gotten too comfortable far away from God?
Too entertained.
Too distracted.
Too proud to admit you’re lost.
Too ashamed to believe He would still welcome you.

But what if He still would?

This Sunday’s message is for you:

Still reflecting on last Sunday’s message and the powerful declaration God reminded us of through Pastor Christian.

We were blessed, encouraged, challenged, and reminded once again that God is with us through every season and storm.

What a joy it is to give back to God! Hands that receive God’s goodness now get to give back with gladness.

Because giving to God is worship too, and it is a joy, not a burden. Everything comes from Him, and everything returned to Him is thanksgiving in action.

Every hand, every task, for His glory.

So much joy, teamwork, and love filled the moments even before the anniversary service began. Behind the scenes, people were already preparing the venue, welcoming everyone with warm smiles, assisting at registration, and making sure everything ran smoothly for the celebration.

Thank you to everyone who was already serving even before the worship service started. Thank you for helping, preparing, welcoming, and answering the call to be part of this special day. Every effort, every smile, and every helping hand became part of something beautiful and made R.O.C.K. of Refuge’s first anniversary even more meaningful.

This was part of yesterday’s declaration.

"Year 1 was survival.
Year 2 will be purpose.

Year 1 built our roots.
Year 2 will reveal our fruit.

Year 1 taught us how to survive storms.
Year 2 will teach us how to lead others through storms.

We are Stormbreakers.

Not because life is easy.
Not because we are strong by ourselves.
But because Jesus is with us in the storm.

And when the winds rise again…
we will not run.
We will not quit.
We will not back down.

Because this church was not built on comfort.

This church was built on calling.

We will pray harder.
Love deeper.
Serve stronger.
Reach farther.

We will carry hurting people.
We will welcome broken families.
We will preach hope to tired souls.
And we will point people back to Jesus.

And we declare:
The Lord WILL fulfill His purpose for this church.
The lost will be found.
The broken will be restored.
The addicted will be freed.
The discouraged will rise again.

And ROCK of Refuge Church
will not only survive storms
we will become a refuge IN storms.

And Bangkal will know:
Jesus is alive.
Jesus still saves.
Jesus still restores.
Amen."

And today, we hold onto it as prayer. Not just words we read, but truth we believe and live out.

We are praying for this over our lives, our church, and our future. And we are eager to see how God unfolds every part of it in His perfect time. We are not just waiting for His plans. We are ready to walk in them.

After the Storm... What Now?

Or maybe for some, the question is:

“What do I hold onto?”
“How do I keep going?”
“I got through it, but why do I still feel lost after?”
“What are You trying to teach me here?”

Some storms shake our faith. Some storms change us. And sometimes, the hardest part is not just surviving the storm, but knowing how to move forward through it.

If you have ever felt tired, lost, confused, uncertain, or stuck in a difficult season, this message is for you.

Join us tomorrow as we listen to God’s Word together and be reminded that whether we are in the middle of the storm or facing its aftermath, God is still present, still working, and still leading us forward.

Here's another set of moments from last Sunday's anniversary worship service.

What a blessing it is for us to look back and remember not only the celebration, but more importantly, how faithful God has been through every season. Through victories, challenges, growth, and change, He has remained constant.

These photos capture more than smiles and songs. They capture a community gathering in worship, hearts uniting in gratitude, and people choosing once again to give God the glory He deserves.

Thank You, Lord, for sustaining and leading us through the years. We celebrate You, we honor You, and we give You all the glory!

Last Sunday's anniversary worship service reminded us once again of just how good and faithful God has been throughout the year.

As we look through these photos, we see that worship was never just a part of the program. It was us coming together with grateful hearts, each carrying a different story, yet all lifting one Name above all.

Thank you for celebrating, worshipping, serving, and praying with us. More than capturing moments, we thank God that we got to witness lives continually being drawn closer to Him.

The hands of our volunteer medical practitioners became instruments of care and compassion during our anniversary celebration. A reminder that worship is not only heard in songs. Sometimes, it is seen in acts of kindness, service, and love for others.

Yesterday’s anniversary message reminded us of something so simple yet so powerful.

Generosity is one of the clearest ways we reflect the love of Jesus to the world.
Sometimes, we think generosity only matters when it is big or seen. But when you look closely, it is often found in the quiet things. In choosing to serve even when you are tired. In sharing what you have. In making time for people. In praying for someone. In showing kindness when nobody is watching.

And the beautiful thing is this: those simple acts can open doors for the Gospel. They can soften hearts, restore hope, and draw people closer to Christ in ways you may never fully realize.

As we celebrate another year of God’s faithfulness, may this also be a reminder for all of us to keep loving freely, giving joyfully, and serving wholeheartedly. Your generosity may be the very thing God uses to lead someone back to Him.
