POPE FRANCIS HAS RETURNED TO THE HOUSE OF THE FATHER.

In an announcement by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, His Holiness Pope Francis passed away today, 7:35am Rome time.

Let us pray for the repose of the soul of His Holiness Pope Francis who inspired many with his words, but so much more, his actions and affection for those in the “peripheries”.

Let us pray for the eternal repose of Our Holy Father Pope Francis.

Rest in peace Pope Francis, we love you!

Nakikiisa ang Sts. Peter and Paul Parish sa ika-39 Anibersaryo ng mapayapang tagumpay ng bayan sa EDSA. Pag-alala ito sa tapang at pagkakaisa ng bawat Pilipino sa EDSA – isang mahalagang araw na nagpapaalala sa atin ng lakas ng bayan sa pagtahak ng landas tungo sa kalayaan.

Ang EDSA People Power ay simbolo ng lakas ng mga tao at ng kanilang kakayahang magsanib-puwersa para sa pagbabago nang hindi gumagamit ng dahas.

APPEAL FOR PRAYER
FOR THE HEALING OF POPE FRANCIS

The Holy See Press Office informed us that the health condition of the Holy Father presents “a complex picture.” Tests reveal that he has bilateral pneumonia that requires additional treatment.

In union with the whole Church, let us pray fervently for the healing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis. Archbishop Charles John Brown, the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, has made an appeal to pray for the speedy recovery of the Holy Father as well as for all the doctors and nurses who are taking care of him.

In response to this call, I would like to request our parishes and communities to organize community prayers for the intention of Pope Francis, like gathering our people for a Holy Hour for the Healing of the Sick, especially of the Pope. Let us likewise offer our personal and family prayers for this intention.

Let us unite ourselves in prayer in this trying time for the Church.

Loving and merciful God, we implore You
to look kindly upon Your servant, Pope Francis,
Touch him with your compassion and consolation.
Restore his health and renew his strength
in mind, body, and spirit.

Surround him with your peace
and the support of the prayers of your holy people.
We place Pope Francis in your healing love
through the doctors, nurses,
and medical professionals who take care of him.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
