A Silent Prayer for Peace
God of mercy,
We come quietly before You.
Hold our country through the floods—
through the rising waters, the fear, the loss,
and the homes and lives left shaken.
Bring light into the places touched by corruption.
Give courage to those who speak for what is right,
and wisdom and conscience to those entrusted with power.
Where there is chaos in government,
bring order.
Where there is division, bring understanding.
Where there is greed, awaken compassion and responsibility.
Watch over our children.
Keep them safe from what they cannot yet understand.
Let them grow in a country where they can hope,
dream, learn, and live without fear.
Hold every family and every parent—
those struggling quietly,
those carrying burdens no one sees,
those wondering how they will make tomorrow better than today.
And for all of us,
give us peace—not the peace of silence,
but the peace that gives us strength to endure,
courage to speak,
hands willing to help,
and hearts unwilling to give up.
May our nation heal.
May our leaders remember whom they serve.
May our people remember one another.
And when the waters recede,
when the noise grows quiet,
may we find that hope was still here—
waiting for us.
