The true meaning of pakikibaka isn’t fighting against people, it’s standing firm in our faith.

Grateful for Pastor Noel’s reminder that our greatest battle as Christians is to remain faithful to God amid trials, temptations, and the pressures of this world. We don’t fight for victory, we stand from the victory that Christ has already won.

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13

Lord, may we continue to stand firm, hold fast to Your Word, and remain faithful until the end. 🤍

In Ephesians 2:1–3, we are reminded that apart from Christ, we were spiritually dead and influenced by competing voices: the world, the devil, and the flesh. While the world constantly changes and the enemy seeks to deceive, God’s Word remains unchanging (Matthew 24:35). Though Satan has already been defeated, believers are called to stand firm by feeding the Spirit rather than the flesh, knowing that through Christ, we now have the power to choose righteousness.

The Christian life is a daily decision of whose voice we will follow. While the flesh continues to speak, the Holy Spirit also speaks, leading us to bear the fruit of salvation (Galatians 5:22–23). As we listen to His voice and walk in obedience, our lives become a testimony that honors God, reminding us that victory is sustained not by our own strength, but by continually surrendering to His Spirit.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | Divine Service (06.14)

In 2 Timothy 2:1–4, believers are called to endure hardship as good soldiers of Christ. The Christian life is not passive; it is a spiritual battle against the works of the enemy. Yet for those who are in Christ, every challenge becomes an opportunity to continue in faith. Following God requires intentionality—a willingness to pursue Him wholeheartedly, remain steadfast in prayer, and devote ourselves to His purpose above all else.

Victory is found not in human strength, but in the power of God. Through the Holy Spirit and the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11–15), believers are equipped to stand firm and fulfill the calling placed upon their lives. As God strengthens and uses His people (Isaiah 42:1, 6), they are reminded that their labor in Him is never in vain, for those who remain faithful will receive their reward from the Lord.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | Divine Service (06.07)

In Hebrews 12:1–2, believers are encouraged to fix their eyes on Jesus and keep running the race of faith. God knows the contents of our hearts and minds, and in moments of difficulty, He invites us to run to Him instead of relying on our own understanding or seeking answers elsewhere. Waiting on God may not always be easy, but His plans are never without purpose, and His care for His people remains constant (Lamentations 3:33).

Faith is never wasted when it is placed in the Lord. Like an eagle that refuses to be distracted by the crow, we are called to stay focused on Christ despite the enemy’s attempts to pull us away. No burden is too heavy, no struggle is faced alone, for God remains our refuge and strength (Proverbs 18:10). When we choose to put Jesus first and place our trust in Him, we find the strength to keep moving forward, knowing that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

See you this coming Sunday! 🌻
