Saint Bartholomew is traditionally identified with Nathanael, whom Philip brought to Jesus. Christ recognized him as a person of genuine faith and without deceit. As one of the Twelve Apostles, Bartholomew witnessed the risen Christ and became a foundation stone of the Church, sharing the Gospel he had received firsthand. His life reminds us that even when our role seems hidden, our faithful witness can help bring Christ to others.

Let us pray.

O God, who called Saint Bartholomew to be a witness of Christ and a foundation stone of Your Church, grant that we may follow his example of sincerity, faith, and courage. Help us to recognize Your presence in our lives and share the Good News with those around us. Through Christ our Lord.
