August 21, 2026 | Sta. Rita De Cascia Townhall Meeting

Sta. Rita de Cascia Sub-Parish successfully conducted its monthly Townhall Meeting, bringing together the MPS Leaders, Executive Committee, Youth, and representatives from various ministries. The gathering served as a meaningful avenue for open communication, collaboration, and strengthening unity among the members of the parish community.
Key matters were discussed, including the recruitment and engagement of ministry members, the concerns and challenges encountered within the different ministries, and possible resolutions to address internal matters. The meeting also included updates on parish finances, as well as preparations for upcoming events and activities.

Through this regular gathering, the Sub-Parish continues to foster a spirit of transparency, participation, and shared responsibility. All discussions and planned activities remain anchored on the mandate and aligned with the vision, mission, and goals of POLA Parish, ensuring that every ministry and member contributes meaningfully to the growth and service of the faith community.

August 21, 2026 | Sta. Rita Sub Parish 2nd Sambahaginan

The Sta. Rita Sub-Parish successfully conducted its 2nd Sambahaginan, bringing together MPS leaders, the Executive Committee, youth, and representatives from various ministries. The gathering provided a meaningful space for everyone to reflect on the reading about social discrimination and its impact on individuals and communities.

Through open sharing, participants were given the opportunity to tell their different stories, experiences, and reflections, fostering greater understanding, empathy, and acceptance among one another. The gathering concluded with a prayer, where everyone came together in faith, seeking guidance and strength to build a more inclusive and compassionate community.

August 9, 2026 | 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In today’s Gospel, we hear the story of Jesus and Peter, reminding us about the importance of faith. Peter was able to walk toward Jesus because he trusted Him, but when he became afraid of the strong wind and the waves, his faith began to weaken, and he started to sink.

Like Peter, we also experience moments when we become afraid, worried, or overwhelmed by the challenges we face in life. Sometimes, our problems can make us doubt ourselves and even question whether God is truly with us.

The Gospel reminds us that with Jesus, we should never lose hope and should always keep our faith, especially during difficult times. When we feel like we are sinking because of our problems, we need to remember that Jesus is always there, reaching out His hand to us. We may not always understand what is happening in our lives, but we can trust that God will never abandon us.
