Short Exhortation 101 wrapped!
Last Friday, we learned how to preach it loud and clear using one simple flow:
HOOK = their world
SCRIPTURE = God’s truth
HEART PUNCH = their next step.
We walked through 9 Bible stories with Biblical Depth — author, background, learnings, and modern-day parallels — to show how real exhortation is built on context + clarity + challenge.
From Ruth’s loyalty, David’s courage, Esther’s purpose, Joseph’s integrity, and Peter’s restoration…
to Jesus’ parables of the Lost Sheep, Mustard Seed, the Woman with the Issue of Blood, and the Prodigal Son —
we saw how Scripture becomes powerful when it speaks to their world and leads them to their next step.
And remember:
If your exhortation doesn’t end with a clear challenge, it’s just a talk — not an exhortation.
