A Mother's Guiding Light
Oh mother dear, you are my guiding light,
A shining star in my life's darkest night,
Your love and care, a constant source of grace,
Reminds me of the Blessed Virgin's embrace.
Like Mary, you selflessly give and serve,
A loving heart that never seems to swerve,
Your gentle words, a balm to soothe my soul,
A precious gift that makes my heart feel whole.
In every trial, you stand by my side,
With steadfast faith that I can't help but confide,
Your strength and wisdom, a beacon of hope,
Like Mary's faith, helps me to courageously cope.
With your nurturing touch, I feel secure,
Like a child held in a mother's pure,
Your tender care, a symbol of love divine,
Like Mary, you show me God's love's true design.
On this special day, I offer my gratitude,
For all the ways that you have pursued,
To make my life a bright and happy place,
Like Mary, you've shown me God's endless grace.
