Prayer to Saint John the Baptist, Martyr

O glorious Saint John the Baptist,
faithful herald of Christ and courageous martyr,
you remained steadfast in proclaiming God’s truth
even unto death.

Pray for us that we may have the courage
to stand for what is right, remain faithful to Christ,
and never be afraid to speak the truth in love.

Through your intercession,
may we repent sincerely, prepare our hearts for the Lord,
and follow Him with unwavering faith.

Saint John the Baptist, faithful martyr of Christ, pray for us.

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡

𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧

O dakilang San Agustin, Obispo at Pantas ng Simbahan! Sa iyong kabataan ay nalayo ka sa Dios at hinanap mo Siya sa Kanyang mga
nilikha. Ngunit sa iyong pagtanda ay napagtanto mo na bagaman lumayo ka sa Kanya ay siya na Makapangyayari sa lahat ay hindi nagsawang tawagin at paulit-ulit kang hanapin sa iyong pagkaligaw ng landas. Pinadala ng Dios sa iyong buhay ang iyong inang si Santa Monica at ang obispong si San Ambrosio upang tulungan kang makabalik sa Kanya. Ipagkamit mo para sa amin, O San Agustin, ang isang matimyas na pag-ibig sa Dios upang ang aming mga puso’y matulad sa puso mong nag-aalab sa pag-ibig sa Kanya na hindi napapagod magmahal sa sangkatauhan. Ipanalangin mo po kaming patuloy na naglalakbay sa buhay na ito at tulad mo lagi, nawa naming maisa-isip na tanging sa Dios lamang mapapanatag ang aming mga pusong pagal. Sa dakong huli ng aming buhay, loobin nawa ng Dios na makapiling ka namin sa kasamahan ng mga banal kasama ng iyong inang si Santa Monica.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟎𝟑 | 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐮𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞

O Holy Saint Augustine, who has famously declared that “Our hearts were made for you, O Lord, and they are restless until they rest in you.”, aid me in my own search for our Lord that through your intercession I may be granted the wisdom to determine the purpose God has planned for me. Pray that I be blessed with the courage to follow God’s will even at times when I do not understand. Ask our Lord to lead me to a life worthy of His love, that I may one day share the riches of His kingdom. Petition our Lord and Savior to ease the burden of my problems and grant my special intention, and I will honor you all of my days.

Beloved Saint Augustine, the miracles you have performed for the greater glory of God have caused people to seek your intercession for their most pressing concerns. Hear my cries as I invoke your name to petition God for an increased faith and to aid me in my present distress. (State the nature of your problem or the special favor you seek)

Panalangin kay Santa Monica

O Mahal naming Santa Monica, sa pamamagitan ng iyong pagtangis at walang humpay na pananalangin sa Dios ay nakamit mo ang pagbabalik—loob ng iyong anak na si San Agustin. Ipanalangin mo ang lahat ng mga inang tulad mo na walang ibang ninanais kundi ang kabutihan ng kanilang pamilya at mga anak.

Maakay nawa ng bawat ina ang kanilang mga supling sa daan ng pagpapakabanal. Matanim nawa sa isip at puso ng bawat anak ang mga pangaral ng kanilang mga magulang at ng sa gayon ay hindi sila maligaw ng landas.

Samo namin sa iyo, O maawaing Santa Monica na ilapit mo sa Panginoong Dios natin ang iba pa naming kahilingan (banggitin ditto ang mga nais makamtan sa pagdedebosyong ito). Umaasa kaming sa iyong pamamagitan ay makakamit namin ang mga ito sapagkat ang panalangin ng isang inang tulad mo ay laging pinakikinggan ng makapangyarihang Dios.
