Life moves so quickly.
The world is so noisy that it can make us feel overwhelmed.

There's so much chaos that it seems like we're in a battle every day.

Despite this, we can find peace in the Lord. In Him, there is stillness and tranquility. When we focus on Jesus, our weary souls are calmed.

Trust God during uncertainties.
Trust Him even if things are not going well.

Be still and seek refuge in His name.
Be still no matter how cliché it may sound.

Psalm 46:10 KJV
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

The Scripture commands how we can live with simplicity and peace. Follow what Paul exhorted to the Thessalonian brethren.

To be quiet.
It teaches that often, if we are not aware, we utter foolish words that do not help build up others. As we always hear old folks say, "less talk, less mistake." Speak when needed and stay quiet when it's not, especially with women.

To do our own business.
This is to focus on our own matters, and not to meddle with other people's business unless it's related to us. Gossip usually starts when we try to poke our noses into others' affairs. Sharing Jesus and the Bible is the only reason we build connections with people.

To work with our hands.
To not slack off but work for our own food.
God gave us two hands to use them for our benefit and others.

"1 Thessalonians 4:11 KJV
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;"

Modesty is a way of life. It is not forced; it comes naturally to women who understand their position in Christ. Otherwise, it becomes superficial and religious. We can always wear conservative clothing but fail to act discreetly, especially around men, then modesty is not really what it is.

We cannot teach someone to be modest by pointing outward. There must be a change on the inside, and that’s when, after salvation, we choose to follow Christ and be His disciples.

We are not to force someone to change by conformity. Help them be close with Jesus, and they will eventually decide to be modest for the Lord, not for men.

When I was younger, I thought that modesty was just the way you dress.

There is nothing more tragic than to be confused with our identity as women of God.

We should always be in favor with God and men. But if we are to choose which favor we desire, it must be the favor of God.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

God is all we need. He can take care of us in seasons that we think we can't move any longer. His favor should be desired and sought after. If we are okay with Him, then we shouldn't worry about what men will say and do against us. His promise is that He will always protect His children.

Just heard somewhere, "Satan is willing to shower you with blessings as long as you're deceived, because as long as you're deceived, he has you."

The scary thing these days is for us to miss the truth. With all the misinformation we may see on the internet, it is very difficult to know which one is the truth.

The solution to this is to remove all distractions and focus on becoming acquainted with the truth of the Scripture.

John 17:17 KJV
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Deception lies when we are not confident in the truth and confusion lingers.

Whenever I am overwhelmed with so many things, I pause and tell myself to heal and find my strength in the Lord.
It's the only solution to my heart's and spiritual problems.

I get it. We are humans prone to go through all the difficult things and emotional ups and downs. Probably there is not much reason to invalidate them. But there is one truth to recognize: God's Word is the antidote to whatever we encounter in life.

We acknowledge our human feelings, but in the end, we have to go back to the Scripture and walk with the truth.

Psalm 119:105 KJV
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Peter walked with Jesus. Yet, he denied Him three times when confronted about his association with Jesus.
Peter loved Jesus. Yet, he focused more on his fear and reputation, not wanting people to know that he was with Jesus (Mark 14:67-72).

What can we learn from this season in Peter's life?
Sometimes, we fear standing with and for Jesus because we are afraid of people's judgment.
Our reputation is more important to us than our relationship with Him.

Like Peter, we choose to deny Him by being silent to please people. We choose to deny Him to avoid people's condemnation or being disliked by them.

I heard this from a pastor: "If we are more concerned with our reputation than telling the truth about Jesus, then shame on us."

I remembered Peter, and I remember myself choosing to remain silent at times out of fear, not wanting to be judged or questioned.

This is a wake-up call to always fear God above men.

If God leads you to do something or go somewhere, He will surely sustain you by His grace, even if you are alone.

I have proven to myself many times that no matter how seemingly impossible something that He called me to do is, His grace and guidance are always there.

Abraham was called to a foreign land, he obeyed, and God was with him until the end. From the very start, he believed in God and His Word. He counted it as his righteousness in Him. He was called the friend of God (James 2:23).

My friend, if God asks you to do something and you are sure about it, step out in faith. He will never leave nor forsake you. Our calling comes from Him, not people.

Psalm 95:1-3 KJV
O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
