Fifty days after Easter, we celebrate one of the greatest feasts in Christianity โ€” ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐’๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ. On this day, the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the first followers of Jesus gathered in the Upper Room. A mighty wind filled the place, tongues of fire rested upon each of them โ€” and everything changed.

The frightened disciples who once hid behind locked doors became ๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ ๐ž๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ. Peter preached his first homily, and about ๐Ÿ‘,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž embraced the faith that very day. The Church was no longer locked away โ€” she was sent forth into the world.

๐“๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‚๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐œ๐ก.

For ๐Ÿ,๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ‘ ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ, the same Holy Spirit who empowered the Apostles continues to guide, strengthen, and renew the Church through every age, trial, and challenge. The fire of Pentecost is not a fire that destroys โ€” it is a fire that ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž.

Every Sunday, we stand together and profess with conviction:

90 YEARS OF FAITH, ACTION, AND SERVICE!

To all our beloved SCAns and alumni, dedicated partners, and friends in the youth ministry across the archipelago: Happy 90th Founding Anniversary to the Student Catholic Action of the Philippines (SCAP)!

For nine decades, SCAP has stood as a beacon of Christโ€™s love in our schools and communities. Since 1936, we have embraced the call to "Restore all things in Christ," empowering generations of student-leaders to live out the Gospel through the See-Judge-Act methodology.

As we reach this historic milestone, we honor the pioneers who paved the way and the current SCAns who continue to be the "heart and hands" of the Church in the student world.

To our partners and co-laborers in the youth ministry, thank you for walking with us in this mission of love.

๐Ÿž๐Ÿท On ๐“œ๐“ช๐“พ๐“ท๐“ญ๐”‚ ๐“ฃ๐“ฑ๐“พ๐“ป๐“ผ๐“ญ๐“ช๐”‚, we remember the ๐™‡๐™–๐™จ๐™ฉ ๐™Ž๐™ช๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ง, when Jesus shared bread and wine with His disciples and gave the commandment to love one another as He has loved us. ๐ŸŒฟโœจ This day calls us to humility, service, and deep reflection, as Christ washed the feet of His followers and prepared for His ultimate sacrifice. May we carry His example of love and selflessness into our lives, serving others with compassion and faith.

May we turn away from betrayal and sin, and instead walk faithfully in His love and mercy as we prepare our hearts for the Paschal Mystery.
