Eventually, humanoid robots, such as upgraded versions of Tesla’s Optimus, will be deployed across the world. They will outperform human engineers, doctors, lawyers, and virtually every other profession.
Of course, the super-powerful won’t simply surrender their power. Instead, they will become vastly harder to overthrow. Picture literal war machines: autonomous killing systems that can track down and eliminate human soldiers with terrifying precision and speed.
It will start innocently enough, personal assistants, caretakers, nurses in every home. Life will become comfortable, even luxurious. But human nature hasn’t changed: conflict always finds a way. Powerful men will always hunger for more power. And when war breaks out in the age of AGI, we are completely screwed.
The best-case scenario is total extinction, everyone dies, game over. The worst case is far darker: humanity reduced to eternal slaves of our own creations. Imagine they perfect immortality. You lose even the mercy of death. No rest, no escape, only endless pain and servitude for millennia.
