Faith and trust are essential in the Christian walk because following Christ has never been about simply agreeing that God exists. It is about surrendering our lives into His hands even when the path ahead feels uncertain.

Many believers are comfortable saying they believe in God, yet struggle when God asks them to step into unfamiliar territory. True faith is not proven in comfort, but in obedience. Trust begins where control ends.

In 2 Kings with the story of the Shunammite woman. God had blessed her with a son after years of barrenness. Yet one day, that very son died unexpectedly in her arms. Instead of collapsing in despair, she immediately went to seek the prophet Elisha. What is remarkable is that along the way, when people asked if everything was alright, she answered, “It is well.”

Think about that. Her promise had died. Her miracle was gone. Her circumstances screamed hopelessness. Yet she still chose to trust God before she saw the answer.

That is the essence of Christian faith. Faith is not pretending pain does not exist. Trust is not denying reality. It is the decision to cling to God even when we do not understand what He is doing.

Sometimes God calls us to walk roads where we cannot see every step clearly. Sometimes He asks us to place our weight fully upon Him when fear tells us to hold back. The Christian life was never meant to be lived by sight alone. As the Bible says:

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Many people admire Jesus from a distance. Many say they believe He is Savior, Provider, and Lord. But Christianity becomes real when we entrust ourselves completely to Him — our future, our fears, our pain, our unanswered questions, and even our lives.

Faith believes God can. Trust climbs onto His shoulders and lets Him lead.

Today we honor and thank God for the gift of mothers—women of faith, strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. A mother’s love reflects the tender heart of God. Through her prayers, guidance, and quiet sacrifices, she helps shape lives and build generations.

Prov 31:28

"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her."

To every mother—thank you for your countless prayers, your sleepless nights, your tears, your wisdom, and your unwavering love. Your labor in the Lord and in your family is never in vain.
May God continue to strengthen you, bless you, and reward your faithful heart. You are deeply loved, greatly appreciated, and wonderfully used by God.
