When we claim our church was founded by Jesus Christ as referred to in MT.16;18 they argue that there is no mention of the Catholic Church in that verse nor anywhere else in the bible but then they go on to say that the Catholic Church is the one being referred to as the ''W***e of Babylon'' in Rev.17;5 and the pope the anti-Christ. Furthermore if the criterion of a true church is its being specifically mentioned in the bible then they are disqualifying their own churches.
They relish calling the Catholic Church apostate not knowing that doing so they are only affirming it as the true church or once had been since a false one cannot become apostate as it is false in the first place.
They keep calling the Catholic Church false, pagan, cult, satanic ,evil etc. but when Catholics are proving it to be the true church they argue that the church is not a building or they would ask for a definition of the word''church''.
They also claim that the Catholic Church is the fulfillment of 2 Thess.2;3-4 with the pope as the ''man of perdition'' but then this would be affirming the Catholic Church as the temple of God being referred to in the same verses as typified by the Vatican where the pope is seated. What amazes me most however is that anti-catholics just enjoy attacking and bashing the Catholic Church just constantly raising the same issues that has been and is being raised over and over again and again by every denomination that came and comes into existence but they are so scared to name or reveal the church or denomination or religious group they belong to.
