SOFA DAY 2026 | Afternoon of Joy, Fellowship & Unity

The afternoon session of our SOFA Day 2026 was filled with laughter, energy, and unforgettable moments!

We embarked on a fun-filled series of activities prepared by the San Miguel Arkanghel Parish, Mahayag Officers, together with our ever-active Convent Boy, Nhoby Jay Velez. From exciting games to fun challenges, everyone truly played their hearts out and gave their best!

A special thanks to Nhoby Jay Velez for generously facilitating and helping prepare the games. Your energy and effort made the afternoon even more enjoyable for everyone!

We also had an exciting Q&A session that challenged our knowledge, confidence, and quick thinking. And of course, the fun did not stop there because we also had a Dance for All Session before concluding the program! It was a wonderful opportunity to let loose, laugh together, and strengthen the bond among us as one family of altar servers.

Dili lang puro serbisyo, naa pud tay panahon para maglipay, magkatawa, ug magtinabangay. Through these simple moments, we are reminded that our ministry is not only about serving at the altar, but also about building friendships, creating memories, and growing together in Christ. 🤍

SOFA DAY 2026 | Gain for Growth, In Christ We Are One

Our SOFA Day morning was filled with reflection, learning, and meaningful conversations as we gathered with our newly assigned assistant parish priest, Rev. Fr. Rommel Taypin, O.F.M.

During the recollection, Fr. Rommel shared his insights about our role as Servers of the Altar and how social media and Artificial Intelligence (AI) influence our everyday lives, especially in the way we serve, communicate, and make decisions. He reminded us that technology is a gift when used responsibly, and that we should always choose to use it for good, with purpose, and in ways that brings us closer to God and others.

After the recollection, we were given time to write down sa among mga saad ug leksyon from his input, as well as the things nga gusto namo ihalad sa Ginoo. Through this simple yet meaningful activity, we reflected on the habits, distractions, and influences of social media and AI that we need to surrender, while making a commitment to use technology wisely in our daily lives and service.

Sa pag-alagad, dili tanan nga makita online ang angay sundon. Dili tanan nga sayon mao ang husto. May we always seek God's guidance and remember our responsibility as His servants. 🙏

This SOFA Day helped us gain wisdom, grow in faith, let go of what holds us back, and offer everything to God. Together, let us continue to serve with faith, responsibility, and love.

What a beautiful month it is! 🙌 Altar servers are filled with joy as we celebrate the sacrifices, dedication, and commitment in serving God as His sons and daughters.
This month is not only about honoring St. John Berchmans , but also about recognizing the hard work of all altar servers who serve with love and faith. It is a celebration of those who give their time and make sacrifices to serve God sincerely.
We are truly blessed as young people to serve our Almighty God. Not everyone is given this chance, so we should treasure this role because it brings us closer to Him.
I hope no altar server will ever think of giving up. Instead, let us continue to volunteer and serve with joy, because not all youth are given this special mission.
No matter the challenges, never forget—you are close to Him. You are His servant. Have faith, trust in Him, and He will guide you in every step you take. Do not lose hope. Keep serving with love and dedication. ❤️

ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ꜱᴇʀᴠɪɴɢ, ᴡᴇ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴄʜʀɪꜱᴛ

This was the day we dedicated time to something truly important. The day we gathered together and shared our dreams. The day we realized our purpose to renew ourselves and reflect on whether we are truly serving with faith. We learned many lessons that day, the realizations we made, our confessions of mistakes, and the understanding of each other’s characteristics.

Thank you to 𝐊𝐮𝐲𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐃. 𝐂𝐮𝐝𝐫𝐚
for giving your time to inspire us to continue serving God. The 𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐏 𝐌𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐆 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐑’𝐒 are truly thankful to have had you with us that day. You made us realize the truth, gave us the chance to share our characteristics and dreams, and created a sincere moment for us to confess our mistakes. Since that day, the altar servers have awakened to their purpose. We realized the importance of renewing ourselves as we continue serving God.

Guess who’s surprised right now?🤔🥳🎉

The Altar servers of San Miguel Arkanghel, Mahayag had an idea to give a wonderful✨ and meaningful 💞day to our beloved assistant priest, Fr. Greg. It was a simple celebration and surprise for him, but it was filled with heartfelt gratitude from us🥰, his altar servers, who are always by his side in serving the Lord🙏🏻.
We want to remind him how much we love and appreciate him. We are truly thankful to have him as one of our guides,teaching us, leading us, and inspiring us to serve God with dedication and faith✨.

Our SVFV Annual Reunion of Altar Servers celebrates our shared mission to serve with faith, humility, and joy 🙏✨. Guided by the theme, “You are the salt and light of the world,” we are reminded to bring flavor to the world through kindness and to shine as examples of Christ’s love 🕯️🌍. As altar servers, our role goes beyond the sanctuary,we are called to inspire others through our actions and dedication 💒💖. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dumigag Parish for warmly welcoming us and facilitating this meaningful gathering, as well as to our fellow parishes from Tumbling, Molave, Josefina, and Valencia though we only see each other once a year, this reunion makes our bond even more special 🤝🎉 We also thank our fellow servers from Mahayag for taking the time to participate, even during practices when we sometimes got scolded by our parents, and thank you also to our ever-supportive nanay Elsa and auntie Reyshel for their strength and unwavering support 💪💛.
