Today’s Gospel reminds us that true greatness is found in humility. May we learn to serve without seeking recognition, to give without expecting anything in return, and to always make room for others.

May our hearts remain humble, grateful, and faithful as we continue walking with Christ.

Lord, teach us to choose humility over pride and service over recognition.

This Sunday, we are reminded that true faith perseveres, even when our prayers seem unanswered. Like the Canaanite woman in today’s Gospel, may we continue to trust in God’s mercy and believe that He never abandons those who faithfully seek Him.

Despite every challenge and storm we face, may our faith remain steadfast and our hearts remain anchored in Christ.

May our faith be greater than our fears. May our trust in God be stronger than our doubts.

19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Despite the challenges brought by the typhoon, the faith of every De Guian remains steadfast.

Today, we are reminded that faith calls us to remain watchful, hopeful, and trusting in the Lord—even in the midst of uncertainty and storms. Just as the disciples were encouraged not to be afraid, may we, too, continue to place our trust in God, knowing that He is always with us.

The storm may have tested our strength, but it did not weaken our faith. Through every rain and every trial, the De Guian spirit of faith continues to shine.

May we always be ready to welcome the Lord into our hearts and to remain faithful in His presence.

Christian Formation Program 2026

Today, we celebrate not only a gathering of young people, but a beautiful journey of faith, service, and discipleship through our Christian Formation Program for Commentators, Lectors, Readers, and Altar Servers.

“Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.” (Psalm 40:8)

Being called to serve at the altar is more than wearing a vestment, holding a microphone, proclaiming the Word, or assisting during the Holy Mass. It is a sacred invitation to become instruments of God’s love and witnesses of Christ in our community. Through this formation, our participants were reminded that every ministry is a mission and every act of service is an offering to the Lord.

This formation was a meaningful opportunity to deepen our understanding of the Holy Eucharist, strengthen our spiritual life, develop our gifts, and grow in unity as one Church. We learned that true ministry begins with prayer, is sustained by faith, and bears fruit through love and service.

May this experience inspire each participant to continue walking with Christ, to serve with joy, and to become shining examples of faith in their families, schools, and communities. Let us always remember that when we serve in the Church, we are serving Christ Himself.

Prayer is more than asking for what we need—it is building a relationship with God. In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us to pray with confidence, perseverance, and trust, knowing that our Heavenly Father always listens and gives what is truly best for us.

As we celebrate this Sunday, may we deepen our faith by seeking God daily through sincere prayer, trusting that His love and guidance will always lead us on the right path.

Today, we gathered as a community of believers in Christ to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, where we were once again nourished by God’s Word and His Body.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us through the parable of the wheat and the weeds that God is patient and merciful. He sees beyond our imperfections and gives us time to grow in faith, love, and holiness. Rather than judging others, we are called to become faithful witnesses of His goodness and trust in His perfect timing. (Vatican News)

“Lord, help us to grow as good seed in Your Kingdom, bearing fruits of love, kindness, and faith wherever You plant us.”

The DGA Club Launching at De Guia Academy of Magallanes, Inc. became more than just an introduction to organizations—it was an opportunity for students to discover where they can grow, serve, and make a meaningful difference in the school community.
