As we celebrate the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, may we be reminded of our responsibility as stewards of the gifts, blessings, and opportunities that God has entrusted to us. In today’s Gospel, Jesus presents the Parable of the Wicked Tenants, reminding us that everything we have is ultimately a gift from God, and we are called to use these gifts faithfully and responsibly.
God has entrusted each of us with a “vineyard”—our talents, relationships, responsibilities, communities, and opportunities to serve. The question is not simply what we have received, but how we choose to respond to God’s trust. Like the tenants in the Gospel, we can either forget the One who entrusted these blessings to us or recognize that we are merely stewards of what truly belongs to Him.
As members of the De Guia Academy community, may we learn to become faithful stewards—not only by being grateful for what we receive, but also by sharing our time, talents, and abilities in the service of others. May our faith be seen in the way we serve, lead, care, and take responsibility for the mission entrusted to us.
For this Third Sunday Mass, we are grateful to the DGA Faculty and Staff who led and served in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Their presence and service remind us that ministry is not merely a responsibility, but a beautiful opportunity to offer ourselves to God and His community.
May we always remember that what God entrusts to us is not meant to be kept for ourselves, but cultivated, shared, and offered back to Him through a life of love and faithful service.
