First Week of the Lenten Season ✝️

As we begin our journey through this sacred season of Lent, we reflect on God’s call to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for a meaningful Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Efren S. Araracap Jr.

We extend our heartfelt thanksgiving to our dedicated Mass Servers — especially the Campus Ministry Club servers, Altar Servers, and Choir — for offering their time and talents in service to the Lord. Your commitment and devotion truly helped make this celebration solemn and grace-filled.

May this Lenten season renew our faith and draw us closer to Christ.

Yesterday, the DGA students gathered for the Eucharistic Celebration in observance of Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. As ashes were imposed on our foreheads, we were reminded of our call to repentance, humility, and renewal.

May this sacred celebration inspire us to deepen our faith through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving throughout this Lenten journey.

De Guians joined the vibrant celebration of the Sinulog Festival at Nuestra Señora De Guia Parish—a joyful expression of faith where every step, beat, and movement becomes a heartfelt offering to God. More than a cultural festivity, Sinulog is a living prayer: a dance of thanksgiving, humility, and surrender to the Señor Santo Niño, reminding us that our faith is not only proclaimed by words, but also lived through action, rhythm, and community.

“Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praise to Him with timbrel and harp.”
— Psalm 149:3

In every sway of the body and every chant of devotion, we are called to draw closer to Christ May our lives, like the Sinulog, always move in rhythm with God’s will.

Happy Birthday, Jhanelle 🎉💐

On this blessed day, we thank God for the gift of your life and for your generous “yes” to serve His people. As President of the Campus Ministry Club, your leadership reflects a heart rooted in faith, humility, and love for God’s mission. May the Lord continue to strengthen you with wisdom, courage, and grace as you lead others closer to Him. May every sacrifice you offer in service be returned a hundredfold, and may your life always be a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

May the Lord guide your steps, renew your strength, and fill your heart with His unfailing love. 🙏💖

De Guia Academy Campus Ministry first serve in the year 2026!

“Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

As we begin this year 2026, we are reminded that every activity, decision, and act of service is an opportunity to grow—not only in skill and commitment, but also in our faith. This year invites us to improve our lives by choosing what is good, meaningful, and rooted in God. By placing Him at the center, we allow our ministry to become a true reflection of His love, guiding us to serve better, live deeper, and believe stronger.

THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT
_________

Gaudete Sunday reminds us to rejoice as we draw nearer to the coming of our Lord. Marked by the rose-colored vestments, this Third Sunday of Advent calls the community to celebrate joy, hope, and renewed faith amid our waiting. Through prayer, song, and thanksgiving, the De Guia Academy family gathered as one Church—rejoicing in God’s promise and preparing our hearts for the birth of Christ.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice.” — Philippians 4:4

Last Dec. 06, 2025 De Guians, together with the Commissioned Readers of Nuestra Señora de Guia Parish, gathered for a meaningful Formation Session—a time to deepen their mission as young ministers of the Church.

This formation serves as a vital preparation for our Campus Ministry members as they embrace their shared responsibility in serving God and His people. Through learning, reflection, and community, they are strengthened not only in skill but in spirit.

“Ministry is not just a task to fulfill, but a calling to grow deeper in faith and service.”

May this formation inspire them to serve with humility, dedication, and a heart rooted in Christ.

Last Dec. 01, 2025, De Guians held the Advent Wreath Blessing and Lighting of the First Candle during the Flag Ceremony.
Today, we lit the Candle of Hope — a gentle flame reminding us that “even the smallest light can break through the deepest darkness.”

As we begin the Season of Advent, may this first light inspire our school community to stay firm in faith, joyful in waiting, and hopeful in God’s promises.

First Week of Advent: "HOPE"
------
As we light the first candle, we are reminded that even in the waiting, God’s promises remain true. May this season fill our hearts with a hope that strengthens and guides us closer to Christ.

A heartfelt thank you to our Campus Ministry servers who generously offered their time, energy, and devotion today. Your faithful service brings light to our community—may God bless you abundantly for your love and commitment.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
— Romans 15:13
