As the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan begins its Synod Sessions, Most Rev. Cosme Damian R. Almedilla, D.D., Bishop of Butuan, encouraged everyone to begin this synodal journey with prayer.

As the Synod unfolds, may every session be guided by prayer, openness, and a sincere desire to journey together toward a renewed Church with a new heart and a new spirit.

The official logo of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan reflects the spirit and journey of the Diocese as it gathers in communion, listens to one another, and discerns together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Inspired by the words of Ezekiel 36:26, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you,” the logo expresses the prayer and hope of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan: a Church renewed in heart, spirit, communion, and mission.

On this Sunday in Ordinary Time, we gather in prayer under the loving mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As our Mother and faithful companion on the journey of faith, Mary continually leads us to her Son, Jesus Christ, teaching us to listen to God’s word with trust and to serve with humble hearts.

May this Marian Devotion strengthen our faith, renew our hope, and inspire us to live the Gospel each day. Through the intercession of Our Lady, may our families and communities be blessed with peace, love, and the grace to remain faithful to God’s will.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, our loving Mother who never ceases to intercede for her children. In every trial and uncertainty, she reminds us to place our trust in her Son, Jesus Christ.

May Our Lady of Perpetual Help strengthen our faith, fill our hearts with hope, and guide us always on the path of love and holiness.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

In response to the call of the Diocese of Butuan, the faithful of Nuestra Señora del Rosario Parish gathered in prayer, dialogue, and discernment for the Parish Synodal Consultation.

Together, we listened, shared, and reflected on the hopes and needs of our local Church, walking the synodal path of communion, participation, and mission.

May the Holy Spirit continue to guide our parish and diocese as we journey toward the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan.

🔥 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧 | Today, the Church celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, fifty days after the joy of Easter. Pentecost marks the fulfillment of Christ’s promise and the birth of the Church’s mission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.

Where confusion once divided humanity at Babel, the Holy Spirit brings unity through the language of love, understanding, and faith. Empowered by the Spirit, the disciples emerged from fear and became courageous witnesses of Christ’s Resurrection.

As we commemorate this sacred feast, may we open our hearts to the gifts of the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to renew our faith, strengthen our hope, and inspire us to live as instruments of God’s love and peace. 🕊️

Sa atong panahon karon nga puno sa kahadlok ug kasakit, kita ginatawag sa Ginoo nga mahimong instrumento sa kalinaw pinaagi sa pag-ampo, paglaum, ug pagpakabana sa isigkatawo.
