BE NOT AFRAID: COURAGE IN CHRIST

“Be not afraid,” and calls us to courage and fidelity, assuring us of the Father’s loving providence, where even the hairs of our head are counted.

In this Eucharistic celebration, trusting in God’s
unfailing love and power, may we find the courage to live and proclaim our faith.

Let us also lift up all fathers in prayer,
asking God to bless them on this Father’s Day.

HE IS RISEN — THE DARKNESS DID NOT WIN

Matthew 28:6 — “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”

The sky grew dark, and the earth trembled as hope seemed to fade on that rugged hill. The One who healed the sick, raised the dead, and spoke life into broken hearts now hung on a cross. Nails pierced His hands, a crown of thorns pressed into His head, and the weight of the world’s sin rested upon Him. To many, it looked like the end. Silence filled the air. Fear gripped the hearts of His followers. The promise seemed buried with Him.

But heaven had a plan far greater than human understanding.

On the third day, as the first light of dawn broke through the darkness, something extraordinary happened. The stone was rolled away—not to let Him out, but to show the world that He was no longer there. Death had been defeated. The grave had lost its hold. The sorrow of Friday gave way to the victory of Sunday. Jesus rose in power, just as He promised, proving that nothing—not even death—can overcome the power of God.

This is the hope we hold onto today. No matter how dark your situation looks, no matter how heavy your burden feels, remember this: the same power that raised Christ from the dead is still alive and working. What feels like an ending in your life can become a new beginning in God’s hands. The resurrection is not just a moment in history—it is a living promise that light will always overcome darkness, and life will always triumph over death.

Because He lives, there is hope. Because He lives, there is victory. Because He lives, your story is not over.
