We praise the Lord and join the people of Hensonville Angeles City in celebrating the priestly ordination of Rev. Fr. Harold De Guzman from Our Lady of Fatima Parish.

Fr. De Guzman is the fourth priest ordained in our Archdiocese this month. He will be assigned as the Parochial Vicar of the San Raphael Parish in Mabalacat City.

PRAYER FOR THE SOLEMNITY OF THE NATIVITY OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST 🙏🕊️

Heavenly Father,

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birth of St. John the Baptist, the chosen herald of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for his life, his witness, and his unwavering commitment to preparing the way for the Lord.

Through the intercession of St. John the Baptist, grant us the courage to proclaim the truth with love, the humility to place Christ at the center of our lives, and the faith to follow Your will even when the path is difficult.

Like John, may we become voices that bring hope to the discouraged, light to those in darkness, and guidance to those seeking You. Help us to prepare our hearts each day for the coming of Christ and to lead others closer to Him through our words, actions, and example.

Lord, purify our hearts, strengthen our faith, and renew our desire to serve You faithfully. May the example of St. John the Baptist inspire us to live lives of holiness, integrity, and joyful discipleship.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

"JESUS MUST INCREASE, ST. JOHN MUST DECREASE." 🕊️✨

The greatness of St. John the Baptist was not found in the number of people who followed him, but in his willingness to step aside when Jesus arrived.

John had every reason to seek recognition. Crowds traveled great distances to hear him preach. Many believed he was a prophet sent by God. Yet when Christ began His public ministry, John did not cling to his influence or popularity. Instead, he joyfully directed everyone to Jesus.

His famous words, "He must increase; I must decrease" (John 3:30), reveal the heart of true discipleship. John understood that his mission was never about himself. He was the voice, but Jesus was the Word. He was the messenger, but Jesus was the Message. He was the lamp, but Jesus was the Light.

This is also the challenge for every Christian today. In a world that constantly tells us to promote ourselves, seek attention, and pursue recognition, St. John teaches us a different path: to make Christ the center. Our lives, ministries, achievements, and even our social media presence should ultimately lead others not to ourselves, but to Jesus.

The more Christ increases in our hearts, the less room there is for pride, selfishness, envy, and the desire for applause. Like John, our greatest joy should be seeing others draw closer to the Lord, even if we remain unnoticed.

May we have the humility of St. John the Baptist, who found fulfillment not in being admired, but in faithfully pointing others to Christ.

Jesus must increase.
Our ego must decrease.
Christ must be seen.
We must become His witnesses.

St. John the Baptist, teach us to lead others to Jesus. Pray for us! 🙏

We join the people of Arayat Pampanga in thanksgiving as Rev. Fr. Allan Paul Mariano, from the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Bitas, was ordained to the priesthood today.

Fr. Mariano is the first priest-son of the said parish. He will be assigned as a parochial vicar of the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish in Macabebe.

We glorify the Lord for the gift of priesthood bestowed today upon Rev. Fr. John Paul Toting, from the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish in Macabebe.

Fr. JP, a licensed pharmacist with a Master’s degree in Pharmacy. Before his seminary formation, he dedicated his academic pursuits to the field of pharmacy as a university lecturer at the Centro Escolar University.

Fr. JP is assigned as the Secretary to the Archbishop of San Fernando. He will also serve as the Notary for Canonical Books of the Archdiocese of San Fernando Chancery Department.
