BONDING | Standing in unity with our youth members in the parish, the SVYO members joined the Bonding Activity for the SMAPYO officers, core group members, Flores de Mayo Summer Youth Catechists, and PPCRV volunteers that was held on the 4th of June, 2025 at the Virginia Arendth Beach House in Rizal, Macrohon, Southern Leyte.

Joining the activity were our Chapel Youth Coordinator, Dan Richard "Drich" Sumcio; our Chapel Youth Leader, Dean Christian Sumcio; our PPCRV volunteers Drich and Wilbert "Jumong" Diegor; and our Summer Youth Catechists Laila Mantilla, Cherylmae Pequiro, Aira Pequiro, and Grace Palmeras, as well as our supportive Parish Education Commissioner, Mrs. Sabina E. Encluna. Our Parish Youth Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Rowel E. Joaquino, led the way.

The youth were treated to lunch, there was a videoke challenge where Drich, Dean and Jumong joined, and games where Laila was one of the contestants.

All in all, it helped strengthen the bonds of our parish youth and it was an honor for the SVYO members to have been a part of it.

ADIOS, INAHAN, DALAYGON | The Parish Culmination Activity for the Flores de Mayo 2025 took place on the 31st of May, 2025, the Feast of the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth.

The day began in the morning with a holy rosary and prayers to the Virgin Mary. Afterward there was the Cate-Quiz that involved all 4th to 6th graders.

The afternoon was set for the Sagala Coronation, where our Yumiko R. Denaga was conferred the title Rayna Esperanza, while Chris Conrad "Chicco" E. Mercado was crowned the Constantino 2025. Present to crown him were his proud parents, our chapel President Mrs. Sylvia E. Torredes, Barangay Chairperson Hon. Marites D. Enriquez, and our parish priests Rev. Fr. Martin Ando Bañoc and Rev. Fr. Rowel E. Joaquino.

Next was the concelebrated Holy Mass to conclude the Flores de Mayo, and then the Santacruzan Procession followed around the Poblacion.

The SVYO extends its deepest congratulations and thank you to our Summer Youth Catechists for 2025: Laila Mantilla, Cherylmae Pequiro, Grace T. Palmeras, Samantha Chloe Pajo Guilao and AI RA Pequiro, who all dedicated their efforts to make our Flores de Mayo a success. Also to our Parish Education Commissioner Ma'am Sabina Estela Encluna and Chapel Youth Coordinator Dan Richard N. Sumcio who gave their assistance in every step of the way. Our gratitude also extends to the many sponsors we have had that provided the children with snacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year.

To our children, may you grow in faith, hope and love to serve the Lord and her mother Mary.

POBLACION CULMINATION | On the 30th of May, 2025, the Poblacion area chapels (Cluster 1) held their Flores de Mayo Culmination Program at the Parish.

PPCRV VOLUNTEERS | Three of our SVYO members served as PPCRV volunteers during the recently concluded 2025 National and Local Elections on May 12th, 2025.

Serving were Wilbert Diegor and Windy Mantilla on Voters' Assistance Desk duty, while the pollwatcher for the San Vicente Pob. clustered precincts was our Chapel Youth Coordinator, Dan Richard Sumcio.

Thank you, volunteers, for your service!

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the chapel officers led by Mrs. Sylvia E. Torredes and Mrs. Sabina E. Encluna for the snacks and meals provided to our volunteers during the course of their duty.

READY TO GO FOR BSKE | Members of the SVYO convened on Oct. 29th, 2023, the eve of the 2023 Philippine Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, at the San Vicente Poblacion Barangay Hall.

This meeting was called by our SK chairman, Hon. Kevin Maucesa, and the Local Youth Development Officer, our own SVYO adviser, Jude Tan. It was attended by the two candidates for the SK chairmanship of the barangay, the SK kagawad candidates, plus voting members of the SVYO.

Most especially, Kevin and Jude gave the candidates tips and advices for their future plans if they ever win in the elections.

As the elections are already upon us, we hope for the best, and may God guide our voting members to choose the persons that our barangay and SK deserves.

May the odds be ever in your favor, Haezel Mae Abarico and Jerbie Barola!
