𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐎 𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊?

Holy week is upon us. For us, this season heralds a significant time for self-renewal. It is during the week that we commemorate the Passion of Christ through different observations, some even dating back centuries. More than just following tradition, the spirit of Lent is also about taking some time off to think. Think about it, how often do we get the chance reflect on ourselves? Of course, it also means that you get two extra days off, which may or may not be more important to you depending on your level of devotion. Here are some of the tips that would help you in observing the Holiest time in this season:

1. Meditate on the Passion
—Meditate on the Passion using passages in the Bible, in the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, and through watching films, movies or series that would help you reflect on the sufferings of Christ.

2. Value Silence
—Make sure that your conversation with God is intimate. Remember that we can only listen to God's words clearly when we open our ears not only to hear but also to listen.

3. Make an extra sacrifice
—In addition to fasting and abstince, we can also make another sacrifice through helping others, doing church services and be of service of others.

4. Attend the Liturgy
—Try to attend all of the liturgies, but don't forget to follow precautionary measures against COVID 19. For those who have stricter measures, you can stay at home and watch online masses and recollections.

5. Discern for your vocation
—Holy Week is the best time to discern for your vocation. Take time to have a conversation with God.

6. Keep all distractions away
—Keep away from all distractions; like excessive use of cellphone, excessive scrolling on Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts that would waste your quality time with God.

Ngayong araw, ipinagdiriwang natin ang Pandaigdigang araw ng mga Kababaihan. Kaisa ang Dambana ng Mahal na Ina ng Laging Saklolo sa pagkilala at pagbibigay pugay sa lahat ng kababaihang tulad ni Maria na patuloy na nagiging tanglaw ng pag-asa at saklolo sa mga mahihirap, inaapi at lubos na pinababayaan.

Pagpalain nawa kayo ng ating Panginoon dahil sa inyong kabutihan. Amen.
