𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐘 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐒

O Loving Mary, Our Lady of Grace, whom Saint Francis called the tender Mother of Jesus: we turn to you in this time of dark skies and rising waters.

Through generations past, those who came before us cried out to you in times of storm, knowing that no child of yours is ever left alone. We ask for that same gentle care today. Heavy rains fall upon us, and the waters cover our land, taking away our peace, our homes, and the fruits of our hard work. We confess that these floods are made worse by human greed, neglect, and the sin of corruption, which leaves our land vulnerable and hurts the poorest among us most of all.

Dear Mother, ask your Son to calm the rain, quiet the floods, and touch the hearts of those in power with honest care for the common good. Keep watch over our families and protect our neighbors. Give shelter to those who have lost their homes, and give strength to those who are out in the storm trying to help others.

When fear fills our hearts, help us to trust in God’s love. Make us kind, just, and helpful to one another, as Saint Francis taught, so that we may stand against greed, defend the vulnerable, and ensure no one suffers alone.

Hold us close in your motherly care, stay the waters, and bring us safely through this storm to a peaceful tomorrow.
