NEWS | 270 Young People Formed and Evangelized on Chastity and Purity
In celebration of Fiestang B***n 2026, the Our Lady of Grace Parish, through its Parish Youth Ministry, organized the Live Pure Forum, a conference on love, chastity, and human dignity, last January 23, 2026, at the Parish Function Hall.
The forum gathered 270 high school students from the parish and neighboring communities, with participants coming from St. Anthony College of Technology, School of the Infant Jesus, Sta. Ines Integrated School, and Systems Plus College Foundation โ Angeles City. They were joined by 30 youth leaders from the Parish Youth Ministry.
Held in partnership with the Live Pure Movement, a Catholic movement dedicated to helping individuals understand and embrace a life of chastity and purity, thereby restoring human dignity as originally intended by God. Bro. Randy Dale Sornito, also known as Kuya Kobe, served as the main speaker, assisted by Sis. Abigail Mae Gado Garcia, both members of the movement.
During his talk, Bro. Kobe emphasized that chastity and purity are part of Godโs divine plan for humanity. He acknowledged that due to sin and human frailty, many fall into moral struggles, but he reassured the participants that Godโs grace remains ever-present to transform lives. He also discussed the true meaning and purpose of relationships, rooted in love, respect, and human dignity.
During his opening remarks, Rev. Fr. Reynaldo Cruz highlighted the importance of finding true meaning in life, encouraging young people to anchor their lives in Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A vocation hall and parish organizations area was also set up to welcome students interested in joining parish organizations or discerning a vocation to the priesthood and religious life. Parish groups that participated and decorated their booths included the Children of Mary Immaculate, Ministry of Altar Servers and Tarcisian Adorers (MASTA), Parish Media Team, and Parish Ushers and Greeters. Seminarians from the Order of Clerics Regular of Somasca (Somascans) were also present and conducted a vocation campaign.
The program concluded with a praise and worship jam led by the newly created Parish Youth Ministry band, Glass of Grace, composed of Bro. Julien Mark Bondoc, Bro. Clark Manlincon, Bro. Justin Alfonso, and Sis. Carla Manlincon.
The Our Lady of Grace Parish expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the students, school administrators, and partners who supported the event. The parish remains committed to working hand in hand with educational institutions to provide continuous formation programs for studentsโand, hopefully, for teachers as wellโin the future.
