𝙁𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝙇𝘼𝘿𝙔 𝙊𝙁 𝙁𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙈𝘼

In the silence of the town of Fatima in Portugal, Heaven touched the earth through the gentle apparition of the Blessed Mother. 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 | 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, honoring Mary who was conceived without original sin. We revere her as a precious gift to the world and the channel through which God pours out grace upon the faithful.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄?

𝗜𝗻 𝟭𝟴𝟯𝟬, Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré and instructed her to have a medal made, which became known as the Miraculous Medal. This event inspired devotion to Mary, highlighting her intercessory power and her role in bringing God’s grace to humanity.

Fast-forward to 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝟭𝟴𝟱𝟰, Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception in the apostolic constitution Ineffabilis Deus, which teaches us that Mary was conceived without original sin, from the very first moment of her life, preparing her to be the mother of Jesus.

Then in 𝟭𝟴𝟱𝟴, The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes, France. There, Bernadette asked Mary's name, she replied: "I am the Immaculate Conception," confirming the third Dogma of Mary.

And in 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟳, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children—Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta—in Fatima, Portugal. She asked them to pray the Rosary daily and do penance for sinners. Mary also revealed visions of heaven and hell and warned about future wars. Through these messages, Mary encouraged faith, conversion, and devotion to her Immaculate Heart to bring peace to the world.
