SAMA SA MAGNIFICAT NI MARIA | "Busa, ang Asuncion dili lamang nagsulti kanato kon asa na si Maria karon (nga atua sa langit). Nagtudlo usab kini kanato kon unsaon nato pag-adto sa Dios. Unsaon? Pinaagi sa pagtuo, pinaagi sa pagpaubos, pinaagi sa pag-alagad ug pagpaambit, pinaagi sa paghigugma, ug pinaagi sa pagdala kang Kristo ngadto sa uban.

Mao kini ang usa ka dakong pangutana alang kanato karon isip mga deboto ni Maria: kon tinuod nga nahigugma kita kang Maria, unsa man ang atong gidala ngadto sa uban?

Kalipay ba? Malipay ba ang uban kon anaa kita? Aduna ba'y paglaum? Kaluoy ba ang atong gidala? Pagpasaylo ba? Pagtabang ba sa mga kabus? O basin usahay ang atong gidala ngadto sa uban mao ang kasuko, panaway, pagdumot, tsismis, o kaha pagbahin-bahin?

Dili kana ang espiritu sa Magnificat ni Maria. Si Maria nga atong gipasidunggan karon mao ang Maria nga nagdala kang Hesus ug nagdala og kalipay."

HAPPY FIESTA | The Maasin Cathedral–National Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption, together with the Universal Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lady of the Assumption—Ang Mahal nga Patrona sa Maasin.

Maasin Bishop Precioso Cantillas presided over the Fiesta Stational Mass together with the Maasin clergy.

His Excellency, in his homily, stressed that the Solemnity reminds us of a profound message of hope: Mary’s bodily Assumption into heaven is presented not merely as a personal reward, but as a sign of the destiny that awaits the faithful through Christ. The Assumption reassures the faithful that, because of Christ’s promise, death is not the end but the passage to eternal life.
