LOOK: The Jaro Archdiocesan Commission on Liturgy reminds the clergy and faithful of the Archdiocese of Jaro of the Feast of the Anniversary of the Dedication of Jaro Cathedral tomorrow, May 26, 2026, and the Memorial of the Anniversary of the Canonical Establishment of the Diocese of Jaro on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Tomorrow, the Gloria will be sung and the readings and proper of the Common of the Dedication of the Church will be used all masses in all parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Jaro; while on Tuesday, May 27, 2026, the Mass "for the Church - for the Particular/Local Church" will be used and the Readings of the Day will be read all masses in all parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Jaro.

At the Metropolitan Cathedral of Jaro, May 26 will be celebrated as a Solemnity, and May 27 will be celebrated as a Feast.

As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, we begin the Archdiocese’s preparations for its diamond jubilee celebration — 75 years of faith, mission, and communion.

In his Pastoral Letter, Archbishop Midyphil Billones highligthed “𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝘂𝗻𝗰?” (meaning “What now?”) was a guiding challenge for the faithful during the 75th Jubilee Anniversary of the Archdiocese of Jaro. Beyond commemorating 75 years of grace and history, the Archbishop calls the Church to discern its mission moving forward: to continue walking together in synodality, deepen evangelization, and become more responsive to the needs of the times through faith, hope, and charity.

This beautiful theme is the heart of our celebration for the 75th Jubilee of the Archdiocese of Jaro, and it is perfectly captured in our official jubilee logo. As we prepare to display this logo and banners in all our parishes, we invite you to pray with its rich symbolism (See the full explanation in the posters).

It is a Heart on Fire with God's love and missionary zeal. It is the Hand of the Holy Spirit guiding our human efforts. It is the Perdon Candle of our Ilonggo faith, the Three Roses of our patroness's charity, and the Pathway of our synodal journey.

In one image, it proclaims our identity as an Archdiocese: a heart burning with love, guided by the Holy Spirit, holding up the light of faith, rooted in charity, as we walk the synodal path asking our guiding question: "QUID NUNC? (What now, Lord?)"
