Today, the Southern Western Leyte Conference-CYF joins the Church in giving thanks and appreciation to all our pastors and church workers who faithfully serve God and His people.

To our beloved pastors, thank you for walking alongside us, guiding our young people, listening to us, teaching us, and reminding us of God's love even in seasons when the journey becomes difficult. Your ministry may not always be seen, but its impact continues to shape lives and strengthen the Church.

We are especially grateful for the time, patience, wisdom, and love you continue to extend to the Christian Youth Fellowship. Thank you for believing in young people and for giving us space to grow, lead, serve, and discover our calling in God's mission.

𝗦𝗪𝗟𝗖-𝗖𝗬𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 💚💛

This Youth Sunday, we celebrate young people who continue to walk with Jesus, serve His Church, and journey alongside those who are often unseen and unheard.

With the theme, “Walking with Jesus: Journeying with the Anawim,” we are reminded that following Christ means not only walking toward Him, but also walking with others, especially the poor, the marginalized, and those who are often left behind.

May this Youth Sunday inspire us to become a CYF that does not simply gather, but goes; does not only speak, but listens; and does not only walk with Jesus, but walks with the Anawim.

As young people, may we continue to live out our faith through compassion, service, and love, becoming witnesses of Christ wherever God calls us.

𝗦𝗪𝗟𝗖 𝗖𝗬𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘-𝗪𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣

The SWLC C*C 2026 Officers conducted their online meeting last August 03, 2026 via Google Meet, officially marking the beginning of the preparations for the upcoming Conference-Wide Christmas Camp.

During the meeting, the officers discussed the updates shared by Joash Gorpido, Camp Director following the coordination meeting with the host church, UCCP Bangcas A, Hinunangan. They also tackled the initial camp plans and activities, as well as the launch of the solicitation and fundraising efforts in preparation for this exciting and life-changing event for the youth.

Together, we are taking the first steps toward creating a meaningful camp experience that will inspire, strengthen faith, and build lasting fellowship among our young people.

𝗦𝗪𝗟𝗖-𝗖𝗬𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗪𝗟𝗖 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Last July 30, 2026, the Southern Western Leyte Conference Christian Youth Fellowship (SWLC-CYF) participated in the SWLC Program Orientation and Partnership & Ecumenical Relations (PER) Orientation, organized by the Southern-Western Leyte Conference. The activity gathered the Conference's Church-Related Organizations (CROs) to strengthen coordination, collaboration, and partnership with the different Conference ministries.

Representing the SWLC-CYF was our Youth Adviser, Mr. Joshua Eli B. Narajos, who presented the SWLC-CYF Organizational Goals, Strategies, and Metrics (OGSM) for E.Y. 2026–2028. The presentation became an opportunity to receive valuable insights, recommendations, and guidance from the Conference to further strengthen the organization's plans and ensure that its programs remain aligned with the mission and ministries of the Conference.

The orientation also emphasized the importance of building stronger partnerships with the different Conference ministries, maximizing available support for youth programs, promoting ecumenical engagement, and strengthening coordination in the implementation of CYF initiatives throughout the Conference.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the SWLC, headed by Rev. Lotis C. Fiel, Conference Minister, for providing this meaningful opportunity for consultation, collaboration, and guidance. May we continue to work hand in hand in nurturing a Christ-centered, united, and mission-driven youth ministry for the glory of God.

𝗦𝗪𝗟𝗖-𝗖𝗬𝗙 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

Last July 25, 2026, the Southern-Western Leyte Conference Christian Youth Fellowship (SWLC-CYF) Executive Committee successfully conducted its 2nd Special Face-to-Face Meeting at UCCP Baybay, Baybay City, Leyte.

The meeting became a significant milestone as the Executive Committee finalized the SWLC-CYF Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM) for Ecclesiastical Year 2026–2028, establishing the strategic direction that will guide the ministry in the coming years. The body also identified and consolidated programs and activities under the five strategic areas, strengthened organizational systems, discussed youth leadership development, stewardship and resource sustainability, prophetic witness and community engagement, ecumenical partnerships, and affirmed initiatives that will further deepen the ministry of the Christian Youth Fellowship throughout the Conference.

Among the major highlights of the meeting were the approval of the Christmas Youth Camp 2026 subtheme, "KOINONIA: Sharing the Table, Lifting the Lowly" (Luke 14:13–14), the implementation of the CYF Membership Profiling, the integration of Media and Literacy Training, Liturgical and Worship Training, and Basic Life Support Training as camp interest groups, the establishment of the SWLC-CYF Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team, the strengthening of committee supervision and organizational coordination, and the presentation of proposed programs and activities from the three circuits of the Conference.

The Executive Committee likewise finalized the composition of its committees and reaffirmed its commitment to work together in building a more organized, responsive, and Christ-centered youth ministry for the Conference. Through prayerful discernment and meaningful dialogue, the meeting served not only as a planning session but also as an opportunity to strengthen unity, collaboration, and our shared commitment to faithfully serve the young people of the Church.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the UCCP Baybay Congregation for warmly welcoming us and allowing the Executive Committee to hold this important meeting in their local church. We also sincerely thank Rev. Levi Lou Amora, Administrative Pastor, and Mr. Edgar Berador, Chairman of the Church, for their gracious accommodation, support, and hospitality throughout the gathering.

Our sincere appreciation is likewise extended to the Narajos Family for generously sponsoring the lunch and snacks, whose kindness and generosity greatly contributed to the success of our meeting and fellowship.

Above all, we give thanks to God for His wisdom, guidance, and faithfulness throughout our discussions and planning. May the plans we have prayerfully laid become faithful ministries that glorify God, strengthen His Church, and empower the Christian Youth Fellowship to continue walking with Christ in service and mission.

With hearts united in prayer and compassion, the Southern Western Leyte Conference Christian Youth Fellowship (SWLC-CYF) joined the family, friends, pastors, local church members, and Circuit 3 CYF in a gathering of remembrance and thanksgiving as we honored the life of our former Circuit 3 CYF Coordinator, Jonathan G. Montero.

The Vigil Service was held on August 4, 2026, while this afternoon, August 5, 2026, Jonathan was laid to rest during the Funeral Service. These moments became a meaningful opportunity for the CYF to offer prayers, extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, and celebrate a life that faithfully served both God and the youth ministry.

As one CYF, we continue to stand with one another during times of grief, bearing each other's burdens and finding comfort in God's unfailing love and in the hope of Christ's resurrection.

We continue to lift Jonathan's family and loved ones in our prayers, asking God to grant them peace, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.
