📖 SUNDAY SERVICE SERMON RECAP

Title: A PORTRAIT OF A SAVED PERSON
Text: Acts 3:1-10
The Healing at the Beautiful Gate

This miracle is more than a healing. It’s a picture of what Jesus does when He saves us.

1. A PICTURE OF OUR PAST – vv. 1–3
The man was lame, helpless, and stuck at the gate begging. That was us before Christ—broken, dependent on the world, and separated from God’s presence. We couldn’t fix ourselves.

2. A PICTURE OF A NEW LIFE – vv. 4–7
Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
Salvation isn’t about money or self-improvement. It’s about receiving new life in Jesus. Instantly, God gave him strength he never had before.

3. A PICTURE OF A CHANGED LIFE – vv. 8–10
He didn’t just stand. He was walking, leaping, and praising God.
A truly saved person cannot stay the same. Our joy overflows, our worship becomes passionate, and our life becomes a testimony that points others to Jesus.

Application:
Acts 3:16 — “By faith in the name of Jesus, this man was made strong.”
The same Name that healed him is the same Name that saves and transforms us today.

Question: Is your life showing the walk, leap, and praise of someone who has met Jesus?

📖 SUNDAY SERVICE RECAP

Title: A USEFUL VESSEL FOR GOD

Text: 2 Timothy 2:20-22

A house has different kinds of vessels.
Some are made of gold and silver for special, honorable occasions.
Others are made of wood and clay for everyday, common use.

But here’s the truth: God wants to use ALL of us.
The question is — what kind of vessel are we?

5 Key Characteristics of a Vessel for Honorable Use:

1. 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗗 — Set apart. Not for ourselves anymore, but for God’s ownership.

2. 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 — Purified. Distinct from the corruption and dirt of the world.
3. 𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 — Ready and available anytime the Master needs us.

4. 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗 — Equipped, trained, and spiritually mature to carry responsibility.

5. 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 — Fully willing to do whatever ministry or service God directs.

Remember this:

"Being used by God is not confined to pastors, preachers, or teachers.
Anybody can be an instrument in God's hands."
Yes — God can use both believers and non-believers for His purpose.

God does not require perfection. He requires availability.
Just like Kintsugi — the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold —
God uses our healed fractures to display His grace.

Being a vessel of God means trading personal control for divine utility.
Let Him mold you. Let Him use you.

Application for this week:
Are you willing to be washed, set apart, and used by God — even with your cracks?
2 Timothy 2:21 — “If anyone cleanses himself... he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.”

God has given every believer a “Job Description” in His Kingdom. It’s not about a title, but about how we live for Christ daily.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟮 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸:

What does your daily "job description" look like as a follower of Christ?

Last Sunday, we dove into 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟮:𝟭𝟮-𝟭𝟴 to look at the work God has called us to do, focusing heavily on our mindset as we serve Him.

📋 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗕 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 & 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞
• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 - 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟮:𝟭𝟮
We are commanded to "𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨." This doesn't mean earning our salvation, but rather living out the reality of it daily.

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 - 𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝟱:𝟱𝟴
We are called to be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor is not in vain.

🔍 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗕 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦: 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗦𝗘𝗧
To do the work effectively, we must have the right attitude. Here are the 4 core requirements for our daily walk:
𝟭.𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 - 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
We must walk carefully, respecting God's holiness and guarding our hearts against temptation and compromise.

𝟮. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 - 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟮:𝟭𝟯
We don't rely on our own strength! God is the one working in us both to will and to do His good pleasure.
💡 𝘛𝘪𝘱: 𝘙𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥!

𝟯. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 - 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟮:𝟭𝟰
"𝘋𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨." A cheerful heart changes the entire atmosphere of our service.

𝟰. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆
We are called to live blamelessly and harmlessly as children of God in a crooked world, shining like lights in the darkness.

𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞:
Which of these "job requirements" do you need to focus on most this week? Let's ask the Holy Spirit to align our mindsets with His truth as we step into our mission fields: our homes, workplaces, and communities.

What an incredible afternoon of fellowship, prayer, and diving into God’s Word!

📖 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀:
Matthew 7:21–23, Ezekiel 33:11, 2 Chronicles 7:14, & Acts 3:19

💡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡
We can fill our lives with religious activities, but without truly surrendering to God, we will always feel empty (Matthew 7:21–23).

⚠️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀:
When we refuse to turn to God, our flesh leads us into pride, addiction, compromise, and secret sin. But there is HOPE.

God isn't chasing us down with a hammer of judgment; He is chasing us with His infinite MERCY! (Ezekiel 33:11).

🔥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗’𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘
When we lay down our pride, humble ourselves, and actively turn away from our wicked ways, God promises to move on our behalf (2 Chronicles 7:14):

1️⃣ Our prayer petitions will no longer be ignored.
2️⃣ God will cleanse our lives.
3️⃣ God will heal our land!
✨ Acts 3:19 reminds us: "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."

True refreshment and forgiveness are found only when we surrender everything to Him. Let us walk in that freedom this week! 💙
