HAPPY SUNDAY UPC Dalsa's broadcast

16/05/2026

1. Ang Dios maminaw sa mga mosangpit Kaniya
“Ug kamo motawag kanako, ug kamo moadto ug mag-ampo kanako, ug ako mamati kaninyo.”
— (Jeremias 29:12)

— (Salmo 50:15)

( Unsay angay buhaton sa pagsangpit
Mag-ampo uban sa pagtuo)
– Dili lang pulong, kundili tinud-anay nga pagsalig.
Maghinulsol sa sala
– Limpyo nga kasingkasing ang ginapangita sa Diyos.
Magpadayon (perseverance)
– Dili undangon ang pag-ampo bisan wala pa dayon tubag.
Buhaton sa kamatuoran
– Tinuod, dili pakitang-tao.

(James 1:14–15), it says that temptation comes when we are drawn away by our own desires.
Even Jesus Christ was tempted (Matthew 4:1–11), but He did not sin.

Proverbs 16:18
👉 “Pride goes before destruction...”
James 4:6
👉 “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

God allows humbling, correction, or difficult seasons in our lives, His goal is not to ruin us, but to restore our relationship with Him.

God disciplines the people He loves so they will return to Him, repent, and grow spiritually.

Hebrews 12:6 says:
“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth…”
This shows that God’s correction comes from love, not hatred.

Sometimes pride, sin, self-reliance, or worldly desires pull people away from God. Humbling experiences can make a person realize their need for Him again.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” — James 4:10

*“Return to God with a humble heart.”
*“Humility leads us back into God’s presence.”
*“God humbles us to bring us closer to Him.”
*“A humble heart draws near to God.”
*“Come back to God in repentance and humility.”

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray… and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

“One Body, One Mission, One Purpose in Christ.”

Ephesians 4:4
“There is one body and one Spirit…”

Book of Matthew 28:19
The mission of the Church is to make disciples.

Corinthians 10:31
Everything should be done for the glory of God.

One Body — believers are united as one Church in Christ.

One Mission — to preach the Gospel and make disciples.

One Purpose — to glorify God and do His will.

o nawad-an siya ug kadasig.

When life becomes unstable—through problems, temptation, loss, fear, or pressure from the world—you should not let go of your trust in God. Instead, you remain spiritually steady by staying close to Him.

1. “Though the world may shake you”
This refers to the challenges of life:
problems in family or finances
temptation or sin
persecution or opposition
emotional struggles
The Bible acknowledges that believers will face trouble. For example:
John 16:33 — “In this world you will have tribulation.”

2. “Stay close to God”
This means maintaining your relationship with God through:
prayer
reading Scripture
obedience
worship
When you stay close to God, you are not relying only on yourself but on His strength.
James 4:8 — “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

3. “Hold your solid ground”
This means:
don’t give up your faith
stay firm in what you believe
remain spiritually strong even under pressure
Ephesians 6:13 — “Stand your ground…”

The true church is known by its love. Love is one of the greatest marks of God’s people.

Jesus’ Teaching About Love
“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
— Gospel of John 13:35

A church that truly follows Christ will love:
God
One another
The lost
Even enemies
The Church in Action
The early church showed love through unity, generosity, and care for each other.
“And all that believed were together, and had all things common.”
— Acts of the Apostles 2:44
They helped those in need and lived as one family in Christ.

Love Is Greater Than Gifts
“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
— First Epistle to the Corinthians 13:13
Even if a church has knowledge, power, or spiritual gifts, without love it is incomplete.
Characteristics of a Loving Church
A biblical church:
Forgives one another
Serves humbly
Bears each other’s burdens
Speaks truth with grace
Welcomes people
Walks in unity

“Above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
— Epistle to the Colossians 3:14
The Greatest Commandment
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God… and thy neighbour as thyself.”
— Gospel of Matthew 22:37–39
A church that truly loves reflects the heart of God.
