With grateful hearts, we are happy to share the ongoing progress of our Church Extension Project. Through God’s grace and the unwavering support of our church family and community, the construction continues to move forward step by step. This extension project is more than just a building initiative — it is a mission to create a larger and more welcoming space for worship, fellowship, ministry activities, and future generations who will continue to grow in faith within our church community.

As shown in the photos below, significant progress has already been made in the ongoing construction. Every post raised, every foundation laid, and every improvement completed is a testimony of unity, generosity, and dedication to the work of the Lord.

We sincerely thank everyone who has already shared their time, prayers, financial support, and encouragement for this project. Your kindness and faithfulness continue to inspire us. However, there is still much work to be done. We humbly open our hearts to those who are willing to become part of this meaningful endeavor. We are appealing to our brethren, friends, families, and generous sponsors who may wish to extend financial assistance for the completion of our Church Extension Project.

Under the loving mantle of Our Lady of Guadalupe, hearts were renewed and spirits were strengthened during the two-day Recollection cm Orientation/Renewal of EMs, Lectors, and Commentators from six different gimongs in Luna held on May 22–23, 2026 at St. Anthony de Padua Parish Hall, Poblacion, Luna, Apayao, through the inspiring talks and sessions facilitated by Bro. John Benedict Torres Encio.

The first day focused on reflections about the liturgy and sacraments, the mission of communion and encounter with Christ, the true meaning of service, and the gifts God has entrusted to every servant. It also became a moment of commitment as each gimong, including the youth ministry, shared their resolutions to actively invite and encourage others to join and participate in the different church ministries.

The second day deepened Marian devotion through the inspiring story of Our Lady of Guadalupe and her apparition to Saint Juan Diego at Tepeyac Hill in Mexico. Participants reflected on the miraculous image on the tilma and the message of faith, hope, and love that continues to inspire the faithful today.

A healing prayer, laying over of the tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and anointing of healing oil were also conducted for all attendees, making the gathering even more solemn and grace-filled. The two-day activity concluded with a Holy Mass, leaving every participant spiritually renewed and strengthened in their mission to serve God and His people. 🤍✨

ST. ANTHONY DE PADUA PARISH CELEBRATES THE JOY OF EASTER SUNDAY

The community of St. Anthony de Padua Parish exalted in celebration today, April 5, 2026, as they marked the glorious Resurrection of the Lord.

The festivities began at 6:30 AM with the traditional “Salubong," a reenactment of the meeting between the Risen Christ and the Blessed Mother.

Two separate processions, one starting from Luna Central School and the other from the Turod Barangay Hall, converged at the parish with angels blessing the parishioners with their sweet voices.

Following the encounter, a Solemn Easter Mass was celebrated at 8:30 AM, drawing a full house of parishioners eager to receive the Easter blessing.

After the mass, the parish grounds were filled with laughter and excitement as the Easter Egg Hunt commenced.

Today’s events served as a beautiful reminder that in Christ, all things are made new, and the joy of the Lord is our strength.

ST. ANTHONY DE PADUA PARISH CELEBRATES THE SOLEMN VIGIL OF THE RESURRECTION

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” — Luke 24:5-6

St. Anthony de Padua Parish transitioned from mourning to exultant joy tonight, April 4, 2026, during the celebration of the Easter Vigil, the pinnacle of the liturgical year.

The evening began in total darkness with the Lighting of the Bonfire in front of the parish convent.

From this blessed fire, the Paschal Candle was lit, symbolizing the light of Christ piercing the darkness of sin and death, before being carried in a solemn procession into the church to light the sanctuary.

The liturgy continued with the Service of the Word and the blessing of the Easter water as the community celebrated the victory of the Resurrection.

The ringing of the bells and the joyful singing of the Gloria marked the end of the Lenten fast and the beginning of the Easter season.

This glorious celebration was attended by a great multitude of the faithful parishioners, whose devotion and unity brought the spirit of the risen Christ to life within the parish.
