San Sebastian Parish Youth Commission Youth Organization of San Sebastian Parish

Vision:
• Give more attention on the physical, psychological, spiritual and moral development of the youth
• A ministry which requires special qualities of mind and heart; having this responsibility as a vocation in which the young allows their lives and the ministry to be conditioned by their desire to pass on the values of Jesus Christ. Mission:
• To use the God-given gifts not for personal glor

y but rather to contribute to those in our care, society and the world.
• To become agents of transformation, prophets to the nations and co-creator with God
• That through Christ, we can come together as a Catholic community to immerse the young in profound and holy learning that calls them to be disciples of Christ who can embrace the kingdom of God thereby transforming the world.
• Youth ministry should be a ministry of evangelization where the young are encouraged to live the Gospel fearlessly with the expectation that it will be the fabric of their future lives.
• Let me end with the words of Poe Leo XIII: “Go on therefore Venerable Brethren in making the young your chief case; press onward in every way, in your work, and cultivate with alacrity and hopefulness whatever good seeds you find, for God who is rich in mercy will give the increase.”
• And so the challenge is mine as a youth minister to be faithful in becoming person of formation and transformation.
