Diocese of Lucena's National Bible Month Observance

In a vibrant celebration of faith and creativity, the Diocese of Lucena organized a Bible-based costume and talent contest entitled "Mutya at Lakan ng Diocesis 2024 (Bible Apostolate Edition)” in observance of the National Bible Month.

Showcasing the diverse talents of contestants from different parishes of the Diocese, the participants adorned themselves in costumes inspired by biblical figures and were crafted from recycled and eco-friendly materials in line with the 73rd Year of the Diocese which is celebrating the “Year of Social Action, Ecology and Stewardship".

The talent segment featured performances, including dramatic monologues and musical renditions that conveyed meaningful biblical narratives. The event not only celebrated artistic expression but also provided a platform for the youth to share their spiritual insights and deepen their faith in a dynamic and engaging way.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for the gift of grandparents. We lift up to You their welfare and well-being. Please make them happy, healthy, and holy. May they never cease to guide their grandchildren towards godliness and good life. Amen.

Batid po ng halos lahat na ang darating na 2nd Diocesan Conference on New Evangelization (DCNE 2.0) ay isang major joint project ng DBAM at ng Diocesan Catechetical Ministry.

Bilang mga members ng DBAM at mga parish bible apostles, tayong lahat ay hinihikayat na mag-volunteer ng ating serbisyo sa nasabing activity.

On the day of the event, mangangailangan ng mga ushers & usherettes upang magkaroon maayos na seating arrangement ang mga dadalo. Pangalawa ay ang pagkakaroon ng volunteers sa mga first-aid stations. Ang karagdagang mga magiging assigments ay ibibigay sa araw mismo ng event.

Bukas, Huwebes, ang mga DBAM officers ay magkakaroon ng ocular visit para po ma-familiarize sa venue. Kung mayroon po kayong oras at gustong manguna sa mabubuong team ng volunteers sa inyong parokya, especially sa mga parokyang nasa distrito ni San Lukas, magkita-kita na lang po tayo bukas sa Kamay ni Hesus Shrine & Healing Church.

It is with great pleasure to announce the winners of the Diocesan Bible Quiz held last June 10, 2023 at the Sentro Pastoral Auditorium, Lucena City.

The top 5 winners in the combined 3 categories are:

1st place - Monalisa M. Catapang, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Taguan.

2nd place - Merc Fiel M. Encilay, Holy Face of Jesus Parish, Univ. Village, Lucena City

3rd place - Alfrancis Cruz, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Sariaya.

As part of the year-long celebration of the Year of the Bible & Catechesis which started last September 8, 2022 in the Diocese of Lucena, a Diocesan Bible Quiz will be held on June 10, 2023, from 9:00 am at the Sentro Pastoral Auditorium. This competition is open to all parishes of the Diocese. Each participating parish is allowed to enter one contestant. For detailed contest rules and guidelines, interested parties can get in touch with their respective parish bible apostolate ministry officers.

We give thanks to God for the gift of vocation as we celebrate the 42nd Sacerdotal Ordination Anniversary of our Chairman, Most Rev. Renato Mayugba, DD. We greet our dear bishop as we continue praying for him, his ministry, and all those given to his care as shepherd.
