“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” — Proverbs 18:21

Today’s Sunday service reminded us that our words carry power. What we speak can either build up or tear down, encourage or discourage, bring hope or deepen wounds.

Sometimes, we speak without realizing how deeply our words can affect someone. A careless word can leave a lasting scar, but a word of encouragement can give someone strength to keep going.

As followers of Christ, may our mouths become instruments of grace, truth, encouragement, and life. Let us be careful with what we speak not only because our words have power, but because our words reveal what is in our hearts.

May we choose to speak words that honor God, strengthen others, and point people to Jesus.

May we guard our hearts and our tongues and may every word we speak bring glory to the Lord and life to those who hear it.

God has entrusted each of us with something whether it is time, talents, opportunities, resources, and influence. The question is not, “How much did God give me?” but “What am I doing with what He has entrusted to me?”

Today, we were reminded through the Parable of the Talents that faithfulness matters. We may not all be given the same gifts or opportunities, but we are all called to use what we have for God’s glory.

Don’t bury your talent because you think it’s too small.
Don’t compare your gift with someone else’s.
Don’t wait until you have more before you start serving.

Start with what God has placed in your hands.

Use it. Grow it. Give it back to Him.

May we be a generation who will one day hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Our lives are not meant to be wasted. We are entrusted, equipped, and called to be faithful.

Thank You, Lord, for another meaningful Youth Fellowship! May everything we have and everything we do always point back to You.
