DIOCESAN CIRCULAR NO. 07, SERIES OF 2026

In celebration of Catechetical Month 2026, with the theme “DUMNGEC (Listen): Synodal Journey for ONE MISSION,” the Diocese of Lucena announces a second collection on September 19, 2026 in all parishes. The proceeds will support the formation and pastoral needs of our catechists.

The circular also reminds the clergy and lay faithful of the following upcoming diocesan events:

• 9:00 AM – Conferral of Papal Award
• 3:00 PM – Diocesan Grand Marian Procession
• Talk: Rev. Msgr. Leandro N. Castro

September 8, 2026 | Lucena Convention Center
• 3:00 PM – Closing Mass of the 75th Anniversary of the Diocese of Lucena

Feast Day of St. Philomena 🌹

The Feast Day of St. Philomena was solemnly celebrated with a Holy Mass at 6:30 AM, presided over by Rev. Fr. Jeff Magbuhos. The celebration was attended by the dedicated NICU staff and employees, together with visitors who joined in prayer and thanksgiving.

A simple celebration was held at the NICU, bringing everyone together in fellowship as we honored St. Philomena and sought her intercession and protection, especially for the babies and children under our care.

In thanksgiving for the gift of the priesthood, Mount Carmel Diocesan General Hospital celebrated Priest's Day with a 6:30 AM Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jeff Magbuhos, Hospital Chaplain.

The celebration was joined by Rev. Fr. Joseph T. Estremera - President and COO, Rev. Fr. Ramilo V. Esplana - Administrative Director, and visiting priest Rev. Msgr. Domingo Edora, together with the Pastoral Care Committee, Talitha Cumi Prayer Group, employees, visitors, and the faithful.

As we celebrate Priest's Day, we continue to pray for all our priests, that God may bless them with good health, renewed strength, wisdom, and unwavering faith as they continue their mission of serving His people.

May Christ, the Good Shepherd, guide and sustain them in their sacred ministry.

Today, we celebrate the glorious Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, a powerful reminder that Christ is the Light of the world. On Mount Tabor, Jesus revealed His divine glory to strengthen the faith of His disciples and prepare them for the journey to the Cross.

May this feast inspire us to open our hearts to God's transforming grace, to listen attentively to His voice, and to reflect His love and light in our daily lives. Let us allow Christ to renew our minds, strengthen our faith, and lead us ever closer to Him.

Feast Day of St. Charbel Maklouf | Holy Mass Celebration 🙏

With grateful hearts, the Mount Carmel Diocesan General Hospital community, together with the NSM5 employees and staff, gathered in celebration of the Feast Day of St. Charbel Maklouf through a Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Jeff Magbuhos.

United in faith and prayer, we entrusted our hospital, healthcare workers, patients, and their families to the loving intercession of St. Charbel, asking for God's blessings of healing, wisdom, strength, protection, and peace.

May the inspiring life of St. Charbel continue to guide us in our vocation of compassionate and selfless service, reminding us to serve with faith, humility, and love in all that we do.
