𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰, 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Saint Bartholomew, Apostle, one of the Twelve Apostles chosen by Jesus to accompany Him and proclaim the Good News. Traditionally identified with Nathanael in the Gospel of John, Saint Bartholomew is remembered for his sincere faith and his willingness to follow Christ.

Saint Bartholomew teaches us the importance of having a heart that seeks the truth. When Philip told him about Jesus of Nazareth, Bartholomew initially questioned whether anything good could come from Nazareth. Yet, when he encountered Jesus, his doubts gave way to a profound confession of faith. His encounter reminds us that an open and honest heart can lead us closer to Christ.

As an Apostle, Saint Bartholomew devoted his life to spreading the Gospel and witnessing to Christ. Though little is recorded about his life in Scripture, his example speaks of courage, faithfulness, and complete dedication to the mission entrusted to him. He reminds us that following Christ means being willing to share our faith through both our words and our actions.

𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲

Today, we celebrate the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring Mary as Queen because of her unique relationship with Christ, the King of Kings. Her queenship is not one of earthly power, but of humble service, faithful obedience, and loving intercession.

Proclaimed as a universal feast by Pope Pius XII in 1954 and celebrated on the octave of the Assumption, this memorial reminds us that Mary's glory flows entirely from her Son. Having faithfully embraced God's will as the humble handmaid of the Lord, she now reigns with Christ, continually interceding for the Church and leading all people closer to Him. Her crown is a sign of love, mercy, and her unwavering participation in God's plan of salvation.

As we honor our Blessed Mother under her title as Queen, may we imitate her humility, entrust ourselves to her maternal care, and confidently follow her example of saying "yes" to God's will in every moment of our lives.

𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭. 𝐏𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐗, 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐞

Today, we celebrate the Memorial of Saint Pius X, Pope, a humble shepherd of the Church whose papacy was marked by a deep love for the Holy Eucharist, fidelity to the Catholic faith, and a heartfelt desire to renew all things in Christ.

Saint Pius X encouraged frequent reception of Holy Communion and lowered the age for First Holy Communion, allowing children to encounter Christ in the Eucharist at an earlier age. Through his unwavering commitment to authentic Catholic teaching and pastoral care, he reminded the faithful that holiness is rooted in a life centered on prayer, the sacraments, and trust in God's grace.

As we honor Saint Pius X today, may his example inspire us to deepen our devotion to the Holy Eucharist, remain steadfast in the truths of our faith, and strive each day to live as faithful disciples of Christ.
