𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 | Cabug Elementary School

It was a meaningful day at Cabug Elementary School as we shared food, smiles, and a little extra care through our feeding program.

We are grateful to Fr. Jonas Lubiano for making this activity possible through his efforts and dedication. Our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsor, 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼, for your kindness and support. May God continue to bless you and your family with more blessings in life.

We also want to thank our wonderful volunteers, catechists, and teachers who gave their time and effort to help make the activity a success.

𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟮𝟮 | 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆

Pope Pius XII established this feast in 1954. But the Blessed Virgin Mary’s queenship has roots in Scripture. At the Annunciation, Gabriel announced that Mary’s Son would receive the throne of David and rule forever. At the Visitation, Elizabeth calls Mary “mother of my Lord.” As in all the mysteries of Mary’s life, she is closely associated with Jesus: Her queenship is a share in Jesus’ kingship. We can also recall that in the Old Testament the mother of the king has great influence in court.

In the fourth century Saint Ephrem called Mary “Lady” and “Queen.” Later Church fathers and doctors continued to use the title. Hymns of the 11th to 13th centuries address Mary as queen: “Hail, Holy Queen,” “Hail, Queen of Heaven,” “Queen of Heaven.” The Dominican rosary and the Franciscan crown as well as numerous invocations in Mary’s litany celebrate her queenship.

The feast is a logical follow-up to the Assumption, and is now celebrated on the octave day of that feast. In his 1954 encyclical To the Queen of Heaven, Pius XII points out that Mary deserves the title because she is Mother of God, because she is closely associated as the New Eve with Jesus’ redemptive work, because of her preeminent perfection, and because of her intercessory power.

As we celebrate our fiesta, we warmly invite families to take part in our Fiesta Mass Baptism 2026 on September 7, 2026.

TIME SCHEDULE
Baptismal Seminar: 8:00 AM
Mass Baptism: immediately after the seminar

Requirements for Baptism:
• Live Birth Certificate (machine copy) from the Local Civil Registrar
• BEC Clearance (Tagtungod/Sponsor)
• Baptismal Certificate of Sponsors
• Marriage Certificate of Parents (if married)
• 2 Sponsors are free; ₱100 for every additional sponsor
• Candles

For Sponsors:
• Must be Catholic
• Must not be civilly married
• Must not be living with a partner

📌 Registration is open until September 5, 2026.

For the submission of requirements and other inquiries, please proceed directly to our parish office. Our parish staff will be happy to assist you with the registration and necessary preparations.
