5th Bishop of Kalibo
With hearts filled with gratitude and joy, we warmly welcome and extend our heartfelt congratulations to Most Rev. Cyril B. Villareal, D.D., on his Episcopal Ordination and Canonical Installation as the 5th Bishop of the Diocese of Kalibo. His ordination marks a grace-filled beginning of a new chapter in the life of the local Churchβone rooted in faith, communion, and pastoral service.
The solemn rites were celebrated at the St. John the Baptist Cathedral, with Most Rev. Victor Bendico as Principal Consecrator, joined by Most Rev. Jose Corazon Tala-oc, D.D., and Most Rev. Narciso Abellana, D.D., as Co-Consecrators. The homily was delivered by His Eminence, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, Jr., who reminded the faithful of the bishopβs call to serve as shepherd in the likeness of Christ.
As Bishop Cyril begins his episcopal ministry, we entrust him to the loving care of God, praying that he may lead with wisdom, courage, and a shepherdβs heartβfaithful, humble, and compassionate in guiding the People of God.
