[Part 2 of 2]
PBBC-LIPA’S 8TH CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
10 Sept 2023 | Sun | 8:30am-4:00pm
✅ VICTORY IN JESUS
It’s been 8 years since we’ve been organized as a local, independent church! But this year's celebration is extra special and victorious all because of God’s grace.
Our auditorium was overflowing with guests (first time and regular visitors, soul winning prospects), newly baptized members, and solid church members who never failed to exert their relentless support since Day 1.
Our tables were filled with several sumptuous meals that we feasted on together without fail (may sharon pa!).
Moreover, we are thankful for we have been graced once more by our Senior Pastor Jun Tan as He preached the Word of God during the AM service. He encouraged us to be a crew (God's servants) in the ship (church and the Lord's vineyard), and not just as mere passengers (church goers). By serving as the former, we must be tireless in pointing the lost to Christ. But we can only do so if we bear the same mind as Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:5, KJV 1611).
During the PM service, our very own Ptr. Ren delivered the same encouragement, but with the core messaging to have the same heart as Jesus Christ, so that we can always be a blessing as w render our heart and service for the Lord’s ministries (Col. 3:23, KJV 1611).
✅ A LITTLE TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE
Looking back, we have experienced a lot of dips and bumps as individuals, families, and as a Church. The sun wasn’t always shining and we are often caught in the storms of life — but our only hope is in the Lord. We trust that our continuous prayer and steadfast faith will always carry us through until He calls us home.
That is why we praise and thank God for the victory, for having our spiritual leader, Ptr. Ren Mercado, and his wife, Ma’am Armie Tan-Mercado, for fervently leading the Church towards the path of spiritual growth and maturity. Their heart and perseverance for the ministry has blossomed into, albeit an imperfect, but Bible-believing and God-fearing Church. A lot has still to be done for the Lord’s ministries but we’re blessed that we have grown to be a soul-winning and mission-supporting Church.
To God only be the glory!
