HIGHLIGHTS | SOLEMN PROCESSION IN HONOR OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN DE LIPA

As the celebration of the Solemnity of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa drew to a close, the faithful took part in the Solemn Procession through the streets of the Poblacion of Lipa City, a cherished tradition that beautifully concluded the festivities in honor of our Blessed Mother.

Amid prayers, hymns, and expressions of filial devotion, devotees accompanied the image of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa as she journeyed through the city, bringing with her a powerful witness of faith and hope. Families, parish organizations, religious communities, and pilgrims from different places joined the procession, transforming the streets into a living testimony of love for Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

More than a public display of devotion, the procession reminded the faithful that Mary walks with her children in every season of life, always leading them closer to her Son, Jesus Christ. As the image passed through the heart of Lipa, countless devotees entrusted to her their prayers, intentions, and thanksgiving for the graces received throughout the novena and feast day celebrations.

With the conclusion of this year's festivities, may our devotion not end with the feast, but continue to flourish in our hearts each day.

HIGHLIGHTS | 4:00 PM SOLEMN MASS OF THE SOLEMNITY OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN DE LIPA

As the celebration of the Solemnity of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa continued, the faithful once again gathered in great numbers for the 4:00 PM Solemn Mass, united in prayer and devotion to our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The Holy Mass was solemnly presided over by Rev. Fr. Jumie Claro, together with the priests of St. Francis de Sales Theological Seminary. The homily was delivered by His Eminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop Emeritus of Manila, whose reflections inspired the faithful to deepen their love for Christ through the maternal guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The celebration was marked by an atmosphere of profound reverence and joyful thanksgiving as devotees filled the church, bearing witness to the enduring faith and filial love of the people for Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

HIGHLIGHTS | 10:00 AM CONCELEBRATED MASS OF THE SOLEMNITY OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN DE LIPA

On the joyful Solemnity of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa, the faithful continued the celebration with the 10:00 AM Concelebrated Mass, as devotees from across the Archdiocese and beyond filled the monastery's chapel in prayerful thanksgiving and devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The Holy Mass was solemnly presided over by Most Rev. Gilbert A. Garcera, D.D., Archbishop of Lipa and President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). The sacred liturgy was enriched by the beautiful hymns of the Lipa Choral Ensemble, whose music inspired the faithful to lift their hearts to God in worship.

The church was filled to capacity as countless devotees gathered to honor Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa, a moving testament to the enduring Marian devotion that continues to unite generations of the faithful.

Following the Holy Mass, the Imposition of the Brown Scapular was held, inviting the faithful to embrace this cherished Carmelite devotion as a sign of their commitment to imitate the virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to live more faithfully as disciples of Christ.

HIGHLIGHTS | FIRST SOLEMN HIGH MASS OF THE SOLEMNITY OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN DE LIPA

With hearts overflowing with joy and thanksgiving, the faithful gathered on July 16, the Solemnity of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa, to honor our beloved Mother under her title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The First Solemn High Mass was solemnly presided over by Most Rev. Ramon C. Arguelles, D.D., Archbishop Emeritus of Lipa and a member of the Priestly Fraternity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Eucharistic celebration was led in sacred music by the Carmelite Nuns, whose prayerful hymns lifted the hearts of the faithful to God and beautifully complemented the solemnity of the liturgy.

Devotees from different places filled the shrine, united in faith and filial love for Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa. Their presence bore witness to the enduring devotion to the Blessed Virgin, who continues to lead countless souls to her Son, Jesus Christ, through her maternal intercession.

HIGHLIGHTS | NINTH DAY OF THE NOVENA – SOLEMN HIGH MASS IN HONOR OF NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN DE LIPA

With hearts overflowing with gratitude, the faithful gathered for the Ninth and Final Day of the Novena in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa, culminating in a Solemn High Mass as the Church joyfully prepared for the celebration of her feast.

The Eucharistic Celebration was solemnly presided over by Most Rev. Marcelino Antonio "Junie" Maralit, D.D., Bishop of San Pablo, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Dale Barreto Ko. Surrounded by the faithful, and devotees of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Sacred Liturgy became a profound expression of thanksgiving, faith, and filial love for the Blessed Virgin Mary.

As we conclude this novena, may the virtues of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa continue to inspire us to live lives of prayer, faithful service, and unwavering trust in God's providence.

HOMILY HIGHLIGHT | MOST REV. MARCELINO ANTONIO "JUNIE" MARALIT, D.D.

Drawing from the rich spirituality of St. John of the Cross, Most Rev. Marcelino Antonio "Junie" Maralit, D.D. invited the faithful to fix their hearts on the ultimate purpose of the Christian life: union with God.

The Bishop reminded everyone that our life on earth is only a pilgrimage toward our true homeland.

Echoing the teachings of St. John of the Cross, Bishop Maralit emphasized that everything in this world is passing. Our deepest longing cannot be satisfied by earthly possessions, achievements, or pleasures, but only by God Himself. Through prayer, detachment, and faithful perseverance, we are gradually led into a deeper communion with the Lord, for our hearts were created to belong to Him alone.

As we conclude the Novena in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Lipa, may we follow the example of Our Lady and the Carmelite saints, allowing every step of our earthly journey to lead us toward our ultimate destination—the loving embrace of God.
