There is a kind of rest that doesn’t come from stopping everything, but from coming to God in surrender—trusting Him with what we can no longer carry on our own.

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28–30: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

This rest is not escape, but submission to God—letting go of control and learning to walk in step with Him. He doesn’t promise a life without burdens, but a life where we are no longer carrying them alone. In His presence, striving turns into peace, and heaviness is met with grace.

The lights may have gone out, but worship never did. Even when the room grew dim, faith stayed bright because God’s presence does not depend on electricity or perfect conditions. What was meant to interrupt became a reminder that nothing can cancel His purpose or stop hearts that are determined to praise Him. God is still able to work through every situation for good to those who love Him. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God…” (Romans 8:28, NKJV)

God is faithful to complete the good work He began, and that work is shown as love abounds more and more in knowledge and discernment. True assurance leads us to approve what is excellent, to live sincerely and without offense, and to be filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ. Real confidence is not careless or passive—it is seen in a life continually being shaped by Him. (Philippians 1:6, 9–11, NKJV)
