Date of Temple Marriage: August 28, 2025
How did you two meet?
Our first meeting was during our missionary service in Cagayan de Oro. We were both serving in a zone where we became friends. After finishing and coming home from our missions, we became close friends, along with three other friends who also served with us in CDO. The mountains of ideas, discussions, jokes, banters, and more is a convincing evidence that we’re qualified to call ourselves best friends. Although almost every interactions we’ve had were virtual chats and calls—COVID and distance prevented the physical interaction, our familiarity is still special.
Best Experience During Temple Marriage Preparation:
Our best experiences came in waves, each, when we overcame the inconveniences throughout every step of our preparation. As much as we’re aware that weddings wouldn’t always be perfect as everyone would hope, we wanted ours to be at least comfortable. Therefore, we planned our wedding thoroughly and broke it down into smaller tasks in a checklist format. This is our best attempt to make sure that everything we wanted in our temple marriage will be achievable and less overwhelming. But somehow, before we finished every item in our checklist, there would always occur an inconvenience. And conveniently, after little moments of panic and fervent silent prayers, we have always found ourselves in the clear of whatever inconvenience was facing us head on. We learned how to work together, which ultimately strengthened our relationship. Most importantly, we learned how to find the humor in every inconvenience and, choose laughter and positivity in every experience.
Testimony about temple marriage:
We testify that the Lord is in every detail of His work. Our marriage is His work. And when we seemed to come a little short after all that we can do to accomplish His plan, His grace had sustained us. His hands worked with us as we did His work, and we will eternally cherish the covenants we have made in His holy temple. We know that our marriage and love would only grow firmer when we anchor our lives and relationship to our Master, Jesus Christ. Our days have never been more joyful and warm, and each of our waking moments are filled with undying gratitude that we have found each other, and have the privilege to love and be loved ever so passionately.
